(In response to "You see nothing wrong with anti-Semitism?")
Well, after all, those people killed Christ. Not too mention, over 2000 years later they're still too ill-informed to notice that the Messiah has already come and to quit standing around waiting for him to show up!!?!?!??
(The Romans killed him, if he even existed. It also doesn't justify hate, Jesus (in theory) didn't teach hate, he taught love. He was also Jewish. You think he'd approve of anti-Semitism, or any kind of hatred?)
As a Christian, I believe that I am far more qualified to say what are proper Christian values and morals than someone like you who is not. You are WAY behind the times. Swallow your pride, take a step back and think before you open your mouth. You have got alot left to learn!

I thought Jesus' sacrifice was a noble and vital act to save us all from our sins? If the Jews had freed Jesus, and had Barrabus executed, then we'd all be fucked.
Judas Iscariot and the Jews: the unsung heroes of Christianity.
"As a Christian, I believe that I am far more qualified to say what are proper Christian values and morals than someone like you who is not."
May I quote you whenever some Christian presumes to tell me what atheism really is?
"As a Christian, I believe that I am far more qualified to say what are proper Christian values and morals than someone like you who is not."
This would be true, Rupert, except that I've read the Bible many times, unlike most of you guys who don't seem to have the slightest idea of what it says.
"Well, after all, those people killed Christ."
Jesus WAS one of "those people"! That'd be like hating Americans because one of us killed Kenedy.
So...
"You are WAY behind the times."
at the end of an argument revolving around "Well, after all, those people killed Christ."
Of course, failing to admit that it was a vital part of the whole "die for everyone's sins" ... yeah, it's fundie allright.
"As a Christian, I believe that I am far more qualified to say what are proper Christian values and morals than someone like you who is not."
I take it that includes, y'know, Jesus Christ.

@Dorkman
"As a Christian, it's my prerogative to define what that means based on my existing prejudices and attitudes."
Typical.

Exactly.
First fundamentalists like Rupert take their prejudices and "moral values" and then they look if they can find passages within the bible to justify them.
And as the bible is a very ambivalent book that contains pasages that, with a little pseudologic, can be bent to justify almost everything, they normally find 1-2 passages that justify their own prejudices/morals.
Rupert:
Have you ever gotten that odd feeling in your brain when you realized that if Jesus truly died for the atonement of sins, he should have died on Yom Kippur rather than Passover? That's kinda why Jews don't buy into Christianity...
And in any case, I think the average Christian would be hard pressed to judge anyone else's concept of Christian morality, as Christianity is so pathologically schismatic...
"rupert durmoch"
its a troll.
"Well, after all, those people killed Christ."
Yeah, in much the same way all white people owned slaves and believed God wanted them to educate the other races.
I WASN'T AROUND THEN, AND JEWS HAVEN'T KILLED JESUS IN OVER 2000 YEARS
"they're still too ill-informed to notice that the Messiah has already come"
maybe they're just skeptical because the big J-man himself said he'd be back for the rapture before his audience died.
shit, I just thought of a 'logical' explanation why that is. If Jesus is God, and God is omnipotent, he knew people would read that in the bible, so he must have meant before everyone stops reading the bible....
Which really says nothing of when the rapture is, as Christianity is not about to die out.
Damn.
As a christian it is your duty to check the credibility of the facts.
Yeshua Ben Miriam (The big J) was arrested, charged, sentenced and executed by the ROMANS under ROMAN law.
He was a devout Jew.
It was not until 300 later that the Romans took christianity on - as a fashion - did they do a whitewash job on the depth of thier involvement and get the finger of accusation pointed entirely in the wrong direction, where it remains to this day.
Additionally 35000 of his fellos Jews perished in exactly the fashion, and in many cases even worse, to assert thier authority.
It is YOU who have a lot left to learn.u
Over 2,000 years later, YOU'RE still too ill-informed to notice that the Jesus in the Bible LIED*, and that you should quit standing around waiting for him to show up!!!!!
Fixed it for you.
* Actually he lied about several things, but in this case I'm referring to the verses in which he claimed that he would return to Earth during the lifetimes of his followers. That was over 1,900 years ago.
First of all, I'm Christian, and I find it appalling that you would suggest to someone who isn't that they lack values and morals, simply on that fact alone. Second of all, the Romans executed Jesus. Crucifixion was a popular Roman method of execution at the time. Should we all blame Italians for Jesus' death, drive them into ghettoes, and execute them? No? So shut the heck up. YOU swallow your pride, take a step back, and think before you open your mouth, because YOU are the one who has got a lot to learn.
Confused?
