Today's headlines certainly don't bode well for worldly security. Potential crisis after crisis seem to bubble up across the globe like boiling pots of oil.
I could not imagine what it would be like to watch this world unravel as it is without the peace and confidence that God is in control. Without trust in Him, it has got to be very frightening! How could one look at his or her children and have any confidence that they will grow up in a secure and safe milieu, something that has been taken for granted by most Americans for generations?
Yet, instead of accepting the truth and looking to God for comfort, many simply amplify their mantra: "global warming!" or "peace now!", still determined mankind will be able to design the solutions for all of todays problems.

Yes. Yes, it is very frightening.
Unlike you, we've got the pair to acknowledge that scary shit happens and some magic sky wizard isn't going just make it all go away.
I think Ye Olde RR would be a much better name for them. Also, it would spell YORR.
"Without trust in Him, it has got to be very frightening!"
Your stupidity is often frightening to me.
"they will grow up in a secure and safe milieu, something that has been taken for granted by most Americans for generations?"
Ah, like in WWII?
Yeah, instead of waiting for some incompetent, invisible father figure to come out of the clouds and fix everything for us, some people actually try to make things better themselves.
It's downright terrifying.
I'm not afraid. I have faith in humanity. No, I really, really don't know why, but I believe in the basic goodness and competence of humanity, sans The Giant Sky Wizard's supposed interventions.
"a secure and safe milieu, something that has been taken for granted by most Americans for generations?"
Does anybody remember 'Duck and Cover' ?
I heard of an american born again president who really trusts in god. His name is George W. Bush.
But last time I checked his actions as a president (and in whole trust of his actions being the things god wanted him to do) made a huge contribution to bring world security into the unsafe state we have now.
And peace now wouldn't solve the bulk of our problems?
What America did you grow up in? The one under threat of Soviet nuclear strike, the one under threat of Axis invasion, or the one where America had a generation without war? Which was...ohhhh, never.
Hey numbnuts, guess what? We're the only ones who can save ourselves. There's no magic man, no alien puppeteers, no cosmic Force that's in all life, surrounds it, makes it grow. Just us humans, us nutty, petty, greedy short-sighted vile murderous humans. If we don't have what it takes to solve our own civilization-shattering problems, then maybe we don't deserve to survive. Maybe the hyper-intelligent descendants of rats and cockroaches and octopodes will stumble upon the ruins of our civilization tens of millions of years from now and learn well the lessons we could not teach ourselves - that we're all in this together, and it's all up to us.
"...still determined mankind will be able to design the solutions for all of todays problems."
Sure we will, as long as ignorant fucks like you don't get in our way.
Hey, something is not right here. Proper punctuation, proper spelling, no strange random capitalization, no all caps. And look at the vocab skills - words like mantra and milieu spelled correctly and used in the correct context.
I'm calling bullshit. This could not have been written by a Rapture Ready fucktard.
Humans are the only entities capable of finding "the solutions for all of today's problems", because there is no other sentient agency in operation.
The intelligent and capable people among us roll up their sleeves and work to find the solutions that would be beneficial for the survival of the species and the planet.
Those who can only look to their god for comfort (which is not a solution to anything) tend to die on their knees.
[edit] @ Scotty,
"todays"
I don't believe in any conventional religion, and I'm not scared. I have faith in my generation, and the generation that's going to grow up influenced by us in a few years' time. I beieve we can change the world, and that we won't be as influenced by commercial, religious and prejudiced distractions as the generations before us. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Easy. We don't have 'confidence', we don't sit around hoping everything turns out fine. We make it happen.
@Grigadil
OK, I missed that. But you've got to admit, that's a trivial error for a Rapture Ready poster.
In fact, I had to translate it into FundieSpeak to alleviate the cognitive dissonance of reading such a well-crafted post on RR.

Yes, how dare people try and fix our own problems without getting god involved. It's not like the god crap hasn't caused a lot of the problems we deal with. Amazing how he's always at the right hand of the worst leaders.
@ Scotty ~ Thanks for fundizing it, I thought I was starting to read at their level.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
