More Obama
I will have to admit that the prospect of his presidency scares me and not because of his color but simply because of his name. He may be a good Christian man, I dunno. I have heard him profess the name of Jesus so I guess we will just have to wait and see. I think I could be ok with it if it weren't for his abortion stance but that is enough for me to wonder about him. It just seems that in this person we have so much more in a candidate than we have ever had before, color, age, background. I am not saying this is bad, just different than what has gone before all rolled into one package.

Your country had Abraham Lincoln as a president. Lincoln was a lawyer. Obama is a lawyer.
Your country had John F. Kennedy as a president. He was younger than Obama when he took office.
So, what's really different about Obama? That's right, he's black and it scares the shit out of you.
"I will have to admit that the prospect of his presidency scares me and not because of his color but simply because of his name."
Oh, well then. As long as it's a well thought out and reasoned objection...
"He may be a good Christian man, I dunno. I have heard him profess the name of Jesus so I guess we will just have to wait and see."
Yes, his belief in an invisible man in the sky is certainly the most important aspect of a presidential candidate. Gotta make sure he believes in the same invisible man you do after all.

Your first sentence is enough to make me wonder about you.

No, you're not saying it's bad, you're hinting at it though.
Everything different all rolled into one package? I missed the part where he's female, gay, and in possession of a fully functioning brain. Now THAT would be a departure from the current trend in American presidents.
Yeah... it's almost as if he's not even human anymore.
OMG! He's the evil Muslim snorlak beast from Venus! He's going to eat your children and make the black population increase by 500% in his first three months of his presidency! Be ready with the lube because he's going start putting all us Christians on greased poles before long. And then! *gasp* he's going to raise taxes on the wealthy and lower taxes for lower and middle income families! How much more evil can a person get?

Fix'd.
Er... Its still Racism dickhead... Thats like saying, I won't vote for Anba Youanis, Amr Ibn El As or Tariq Aziz... Cause Guess what. Those guys are CHRISTIANS. From one of the oldest sects in Christianity. They are Coptics...
Its just a goddamn name.
OH NOES HE HAS A NAME THAT SOUNDS LIKE BIN LADEN AND SADDAM!
Geez, imagine if people thought like this after the Revolution.
"George Washington!? I'm not voting for a guy with the same name as the King!"
not because of his color
Yet the first thing in your list is...
so much more in a candidate than we have ever had before, color, age, background.
And his age isn't that different and background means not WASP, so wouldn't that be the same as color?
Confused?
