Quote# 419

I think it's a good move to abolish evolution in schools--if they take out that factor, maybe then the scientific 'dark ages' will arrive, but that may in turn lead to a spiritual revival!

Enjoy your Black Plague.

Why don't you have your little spiritual revival in your little trailer.

The rest of us like enlightenment.

2/22/2008 8:56:00 AM

Uh, that's not a good thing.

2/22/2008 9:01:57 AM

Hmmm...science has brought us so much. Why would I give that up for a shorter life expectancy, plagues and even lice (all of with science had aided us with).

You want the "scientific dark ages" so much? Turn off your computer and go live in a cave.

Father Heathen

I like how Creationists use products of science (computers, electricity, etc.) to spew their anti-science views.

That's it, he admitted it, organised religion needs to be removed.

A second (please note that we've already had one) scientific 'dark age' is a good thing in your view?

10/7/2008 11:33:29 PM

Anyone who advocates a scientific dark age as anything REMOTELY positive should be removed from the gene pool, STAT.

El Guapo

It wouldn't be that surprising if the decline of science were correlated with increased spiritualism. And also famine, disease, the erosion of civilization, the destruction of the environment, and eventual extinction of humans. But at least we'd all feel churchy again for a while.

10/8/2008 2:20:17 PM

Ah, damn you altoid for beating me to it!

11/10/2009 10:53:33 PM

Oh yes - because spiritual revivals were so effective in combatting the Black Death, child mortality and famine during the last scientific dark ages, weren't they?

11/11/2009 4:16:44 AM

"Scientific dark ages" sounds a lot like the Christian Dark Ages.

11/11/2009 4:46:37 AM

Why stop there? You could ban the printing press and modern medicine as well. That will go over big in your chapter of the Flat Earth Society.
Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, how GAY your life must be.
