You have done well on this day, telling us what is what about hypothetical, unverifiable entities whose existences are either irrelevant for all practical purposes of our lives and day-to-day behavior, or who are so convoluted and contradictory that one cannot help but wonder whether they are simply elaborate fabrications. I will now go about my duty of tacitly serving an invisible evil living in the metallic, superheated core of our planet, helping him stir rational doubts in those fanciful intangible entities that you good Christians talk so fondly of, and make them believe that the fossils Bossman planted back in the 1600s are genuine articles. It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it...and go to Hell for eternity for it.

Very few atheists say there is no god. I've only personally seen two people on various forums, as far as I recall, that hold this position. Most atheists say they see no evidence for a god which is something quite different than saying there isn't one.

Note the continual use of the phrase "the atheist", as if atheists are one homogeneous group of interchangeable individuals. This is a standard technique for dehumanizing members of any identifiable minority (and if you slice it right, everybody is part of a minority group), which then allows for someone to do things to people without the guilt that would go along with doing the exact same things to a real person. It's the core of any propaganda effort.
Hey, if being an atheist prevents convulsions, projectile vomiting, etc, etc, then I'll gladly continue being an atheist.
Well that may be a bit too complicated an explanation. I have an easier one, there is no god, therefore, us atheists are saying the truth and the best part :
we don't need a made up deity to do that.
