Hmmmm....this comes from a thread talking about why the board members are pro-life, and how their religion played into becoming pro-life.
Here's a few choice tidbits:
Teresea 18: "Man does not have the the right to take away unalienable, God-given rights. If there is no God, rights would only be human concepts assigned that can be removed at will based on a relative morality."
(Very nice to see a condemnation of that evil moral relativity. As if the existence of a God or not prevents us from infringing upon the rights that are given to them by society...)
Faramir: "Each person has a conscience given by God, and those agnostics, atheists, and pagans who are prolife, are prolife because they are following God's natural law throught their consciences, whether they believe it or not."
(Classic. Assuming that anything good is due to God. It would be harmless if they didn't use the assumption to try to give Christianity credit for anything they deem to be positive that is done by other religions. Virtue hogs..).
Nancyu (In response to: "Lets say, hypothetically, that there is no God. Would you still be pro-life?") : "I wouldn't, because I wouldn't be here."
(It is just sickening how deep their presuppositions go...)
ProInformed : "I am pro-life because of what I know about the scientific facts of life, my belief in democracy (the citizens should decide what is legally allowed), and because IF we are going to impose fatal violence on anyone for the problems caused by irresponsible sex, then the citizens should vote on who should get killed (it would be much more effective and fair to kill the perpetrators than to kill the innocent victims IF things ever really do get so dire that we really would have to start killing.)"
(And, he totally misses the point, in that abortion is not about arbitrarily punishing someone or something for not paying attention in sex ed.)
Oh, what fun! I think I am going to go lie down now...
