Fear of Jesus reveals the depth of one's self-loathing.
Portayal of Jesus as a name-calling bully? WTF?
Read the Gospels, whoever thinks Jesus will call you names and bully you. Ask a pastor or priest about it.
I've never heard of self-hatred being able to do this. It's like deep down, being persecuted and spat on is what these people get off on. Despite all appearances, some people will engineer situations which they can be victimized. It's almost what you'd call a fetish.
Oh Lord ...

I think nobody assumes that Jesus would do name calling and bullying. We rather assume that people who see themselves as his strongest believers, i.e. christian fundamentalists, will do this.

Jesus, no. But fundies never listen to Jesus when they can find something more to their judgmental, hypocritical liking from that pecksniffing misogynist, Paul.

Thomas thought so. In fact, he (well, it's attributed to him anyway) wrote a whole Gospel about what a little demon spawn your Christ was as a child. In the Gospel, Jesus curses a boy who then becomes a corpse and curses another boy who then dies and his parents become blind. Of course the Church suppressed that damned quick along with all the other infancy Gospels...
Once again an atheist knows more about your religion than you do.
I have no wit or wisdom today. Maybe god sucked it out of me since Sunday's are just another day off work to me.
I so badly want to come up with a response to this; it is just there, waiting for me to grab it. But, I just can't do it.
Damn alcohol I drank last night.

Not only has the Internet taught you NOTHING about sex, but you are holding your mirror backwards.

Try looking at the parts of the Bible that you don't cherry pick.

Yes...if you have a heterodox opinion about Christian doctrine, ask the people who accept the standard presentation of that same doctrine unquestioningly. Surely, they will be able to enlighten you about how everyone else goes about unquestioningly accepting that particular idea....

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the most obliviously hypocritical of them all?

How did you come to that conclusion? The guy never existed.
"Read the Gospels"
No thanks. The bible just isn't my type of fiction.

Big shiny mirror you got there, pal.

"I'm sure they have an unbiased, objective opinion on the matter!"
