Isn't telling a fictional story, something which isn't real, per definition a lie?

Double sci-fi reference coming up:
Is this guy one of those aliens in Galaxy Quest who thought a TV show was a "historical archive" because they had no concept of fiction?
And, second, this question comes from a guy whose screen name includes the honorific of a Sith?!? The irony is indeed strong with this one!

Technically no, if you staunchly believe in it. But then, it becomes self-delusion the instant it contradicts observable reality. E.g., creationism.
Nope. Telling something which is not real for fun, not with the intention of deceiving, is great. You, apparently, can´t differentiate fiction from reality.
"Isn't telling a fictional story, something which isn't real, per definition a lie?"
Like, for example... the Bible?
You said it, I didn't.
Honesty. So refreshing in a fundie.
Not if you try to pass it off as truth in the first place.
Which is why I start mine with: 'This is entirely a work of fiction. Persons, names, places, characters, and events bearing any resemblance to actual ones are purely coincedental, and not by any way the author's fault.
No animals were harmed in the writing of this novel.' (Thought I'd cover all the bases.)
No. Unless it is passed off as fact, and all novels come with the disclaimer that "this is a work of fiction."
Come to think of it, though, where is that disclaimer in the bible? It certainly needs one.
