Quote# 42037
The Beatles still top the charts for all-time albums sold, amounting to billions of dollars in profits. Tragically, The Beatles were heathen Communists, who praised false religions, glorified sexual immorality, and even blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ throughout their careers.
It was Paul McCartney of The Beatles who said...
"We probably seem to be anti-religious. . . none of us believes in God." (Hit Parader, Jan 1970, p.15)
Band member, John Lennon said...
"Christianity will go, it will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that. I'm right and will be proved right. . . .We're more popular than Jesus now." (San Francisco Chronicle, April 13, 1966, p.26)
John Lennon, in his book, A Spaniard in the Works, portrays Jesus Christ as...
"Jesus El Pifico, a garlic-eating, stinking little yellow, greasy fascist bastard catholic Spaniard." (A Spaniard in the Works, p.14).
Yet, these godless and heathen men are praised in society as if they're heroes. I once told a man that The Beatles were Communists. He said he didn't believe it, until he heard The Beatle's song, Back In The U.S.S.R. (...boy you don't know how lucky you are!). The Beatles praised Communist leaders, promoted illegal drug usage, defiled themselves in backstage sex orgies, and glorified sin with their music.

And? Aside from the praising communist leaders (btw look up satire in dictionary) that sounds like fun.

Is it possible that Lennon was talking about an entirely different Jesus who happened to be a catholic Spaniard?

To DJS personally: Boo-fucking-hoo. Then don't listen to them or have anything to do with them. That's *your* choice.
*My* choice is to throw on the White Album or Magical Mystery Tour and crank the volume! >:-)

NEVER go to Liverpool. If you do, I'll tell my cousin to commandeer the Magical Mystery Tour to run your ass over.

If you had only quoted a little more, you would have found that he believes that the 'rock on' sign and the 'OK' sign are both Satanic. (Edit: Oh, wait... that's the general rock n' roll page, not the specific Beatles one.)
Does this man ever speak his mind to the rest of the world? I can even see Fundie Christians laughing him off... and that's saying something.

Damn commie bastards. Thank you for pointing this out to me. I should have seen this with their evil tracks like "I wanna hold your hand" and "Love Me Do".
You are a retard sunshine.

"We're more popular than Jesus now"
Name one No. 1 hit album or single Jesus released, David J. Spewup. Does Jesus have an airport named after him? Well then. John Lennon was right after all.
And he still is to this day.

I support the hypothesis that the Beatles were empowered by a higher Providence to crush western religion.

In other words Dave, you're mad because the Beatles got lots of attention and sex while you do not. Complain to your god because the rest of us don't care.

Oh boy. Yet another fundie who doesn't know shit about history. Yes, they were probably more popular than Jesus then, but that was ages ago. Ask the teenagers of today, some of them don't know who or what The Beatles is or was. At that time you might have fifteen minutes of fame, nowadays you are lucky if you have 15 seconds.
Communists and drug usage - don't mesh at all. Drug abuse was a crime against the state and could probably get you executed. Unless it was steroids that got the State glorious medals in sporting events (as long as you weren't caught at it, of course).

Question: Did your precious Jesus compose
one song - never mind dozens - that has inspired a generation, and beyond?
Name just
one tune written/performed by Jesus that has become a best-selling, chart-topping CD/iTunes download? (PROTIP: K-Rapper PSY; "Gangnam Style". The First Korean Pop tune to go to No. 1 here in the UK. Has become a worldwide viral phenomenon, and not just in terms of the actual tune/video, neither. One word:
Cultural.)
Did Jesus have an airport named after him?
If you can answer these questions the only way possible,
you've just destroyed your own argument, Davey-boy. And never mind what John Lennon once said; if proof were ever needed...:
@Swedish Pagan
"Communists and drug usage - don't mesh at all. Drug abuse was a crime against the state and could probably get you executed."
I think all that fapping to the jailbait on the Disney Channel has finally warped Davey-boy's mind,
if he thinks the likes of Khrushchev, Brezhnev et al took drugs

And a good time was had by all. You jealous?

"De mórtuis nil nisi bene." (About the dead, nothing but good.)
Two of the Beatles are dead and the other two are doing their own things now. Why bother?
Who didn't talk about illegal drug usage in the sixties and seventies?
You can praise a person without agreeing with everything they do or say, ya know.
