I myself do not see it happening that way at all.... If you will read the account of the flood you will notice how sudden and devastating it was...... Water came from every known point and direction..... the sky, the earth, etc..... it was so fast there was no time to panic nor seek the Ark for salvation !!! the people were simply LOST !!!!! go in peace.....
