Has anyone ever wondered if the people from earth right before the flood had maybe gotten advanced as far as we are now? If we can send probes and things to mars now, who is to say that maybe the people back then had that technology already also and had left things there. Then the flood occurred on earth and all that technology was just washed away and we started again with Noah and have just now gotten back to the point people from earth may have been at before? Maybe if we find things on Mars, it is things the people from Earth thousands of years ago left there ... Just a thought...

The idea that old, forgotten civilizations had more advanced technology than current civilizations is pretty much confined to SciFi and Fantasy genres: it is unspeakably improbable that the older societies had the technology to travel to Mars without leaving a trace of technology comparable to anything developed in the past 2 centuries behind.
unless it was a flood of lava, i sincerely doubt that EVERYTHING was washed away and destroyed without a single trace. Then again, maybe god just hid all of the supercomputers and space probes in the marianas trench.
If there was known to be life on other planets, why did god only flood the Earth? Could it be that he isn't really the ruler of all and has no control over the rest of the universe?

If there were humans before the mythical flood with technological capabilities like our own then I am sure, that astronomers would already have wondered for centuries about strange objects orbiting earth (the remaining satellites of the previous civilization that didn´t deorbit during the centuries).

I can't get over the fact that there are adult human beings who believe that a magic man in the sky flooded the whole planet and killed everyone except for five people on a physically impossible boat, and somehow this flood was never recorded by any of the civilizations that existed at the time.

Washed away where? Into space? There's no drain on the earth. Everything would sort of get sloshed around, but it would all have to settle somewhere or other.
I guess if you believe there was a global flood - the water for which came from under the earth and then went who knows where - and two of every animal lived on a 500ft boat for 150 days - without having to eat a single meal - or ever take a crap - and all of this definitely happened because it says so in an ancient tale that hardly anyone takes seriously - even the vast majority of adherents to you own religion - well then I guess you're not exactly the type to ask critical questions, are you?
