*on a forum where the topic was the homosexuality of a German grand duke*
Whatever happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom in the case of homo/hetero sexuals. Unless those people are long dead and historians must research them. But as for the present day, some of us don't want to know about that kinda stuff because, quite frankly, it can appear disgusting and highly sinful to some like myself. I'm sorry if this offends anyone on this board, but I think gays/lesbians/bisexuals should stay in the closet in public. There's no need for ANYONE to be expressing explicit sexual acts/preferences except in the privacy in their own homes

Does that include heterosexuals? Should a no-contact rule apply equally across everyone ?
Also, why do they say "I'm sorry if this offends, but..."? That's like a huge fucking sign saying "BIGOTED OPINION INCOMING".
Yes, what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom.
But, unfortunately, sexual preference is not necessarily the same thing. If gays are not allowed to admit their sexual prefernence, either explicitly or through tacit PDA (handholding, etc.), then straight people should also be denied those same rights.
My experience is that gays don't display affection more publicly than heteros. Possibly not to get harassed by bigoted idiots like Michelle.
Then of course, we all display affection quite openly over here.
I love living in Europe.
I don't want to know that my pastor's straight! That's disgusting. That's talking about explicit sexual acts/preferences! Likewise, if my pastor's married, I DON'T want to here about it- I heard that married people have sex in their bedrooms.
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas is a rule that only applies to Vegas, dearie. If you would deny queer folks the right to public affection then the same shall be for you. After all, we live in a democracy , not a theocracy like you'd like it to be.
This is not fundy. Also, I think he is right about not making sexual announce in public settings. I would never announce my favorite position, why do some gays announce that they are gay to strangers or people they just met? That being said, Michelle needs to just deal with it that some historical figures were gay. Historians shouldn't shy away from studying someones life if evidence of being gay comes up.
I've got a better idea. Rather than the entire world censoring itself to avoid offending your precious, sensitive eyes, why don't we just do our own damn thing and you can wear a blindfold whenever you go out in public. Or you could do what Jeezus says and simply pluck them out.
I'll tell you what poptart, as soon as I quit getting bombarded by heterosexual imagery everywhere I go I might consider staying "in the closet." That means removing it ALL from TV, movies, billboards, magazines, and every assorted ad under the sun. Until then your delicate heterosexist sensibilities will just have to endure my unapologetic public existence. Air smoochies!
Fucking bigot.
I don't want to hear about the details of your sex life, regardless of the gender of the other person. I don't need to be told your sexual orientation upon meeting you, whichever it is. I don't mind if you mention it when it comes up or if you hold hands with your partner, or hug or whatever, regardless of which you are. however, there is no good reason to object to discussing whether or not a historical figure was gay just because you don't approve of homosexuality.
He's right, sorta, he's just forgetting that the same should go for heterosexuals and panasexuals as well.. Explicit sex/sexual references shouldn't be public. The fact that it is for heterosexuals and not for gays is entirely unrelated to it.
Personally, if a gay guy came up to me, said he was gay, i wouldn't care, unless he decided to get a bit frisky, but the same would go for some girls as well.
Could you do me a favor and keep you hetrosexuality along with your stupidity in the closet while in public too, I have a high gag reflex.
A public closet, sounds fun. ;}
I personally agree..only..ONLY..if Christians will do the same thing with their religion in public. I think what happens in church should stay in church.
You dont want to see grown men kiss each other - I dont want to see grown men talking to their imaginary friend.
And if you really are sorry if your opinion offends, then please make the first step to this common agreement we have now.
Strange, *I* think that heterosexuals should stay in the closet in public. It's a good thing neither of us is a bigoted twit, right, Michelle?
In this society, people automatically assume you're heterosexual, and thus, you are always expressing your sexual preference. Just not out loud.
Confused?
