Quote# 42396

[In response to a comment, which he deleted, wherein someone challenged his attack on evolution claiming that Scott doesn't have a degree in science and hence has no basis to launch any attack.]

Therefore, I ask “Should You Trust Someone Who Thinks that He Is a Hairless Ape?” On first thought, any human claiming to be an ape is crazy, but instead this is allowed by many. Should anyone change their opinions to that of beasts as those claiming to be beasts would have everyone do? They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. Do not such beasts claim everyone to be ignorant? Do they not claim that simple understanding is not sufficient, but that one must be affirmed by them, apes, on paper to have achieved a right level of understanding?

Scott, you are the poster child for ignorance. No one, no scientists, no one with a higher IQ than you things humans are 'hairless apes'.

For one thing, we aren't hairless. But we aren't apes either. The great apes and humans have a common ANCESTOR. Gee, try reading a science book instead of parroting paranoia from the pulpit.

I'm afraid you are wrong about humans not being apes. We are apes.
Humans fall in the domain eukarya, kingdom animalia (animals), phylum chordata, class mammalia, order primates (aka, apes, monkeys, etc.), and family hominidae (the great apes). This family includes chimpansees, gorillas, orangutans, and humans. Where we diverge from the other great apes is in genus (homo), species (homo sapiens), and subspecies (homo sapiens sapiens).
However, it doesn't matter what genus, species and subspecies we belong to, humans are still part of the family hominidae, and thus we are apes.

What Scott is crapping out is still a word-salad rooted in his inability to deal with the fact that humans are animals.

As usual with many of these fundies, they cannot attack the arguments, so they rather try it with ad hominems ;)

And Palr_Face is, of course, correct. The biological systematics classifies us as apes.

Just because you are an ape does not mean you have to fling poo.

Nowonmai, you are just as ignorant as the fundy. Learn, or shut up, you are not helping.

We're primates, making us one of the "great apes". Bipedal apes. We're not monkeys, however.

Does not typing in pseudo-biblical language make me seem more intelligent unto the LORD?

When the people forget their duty they are no longer human and become something less than beasts. They have no place in the bosom of Humanity nor in the heart of the Emperor. Let them die and be forgotten.

Such a self-hating ape you are, Scott. Embrace your simian heritage!

Most people, even fundies, would consider chimpanzees and gorillas to be apes. However, chimpanzees are more closely related to humans- common ancestor 7 MYA- than they are to gorillas- common ancestor 8 MYA. That said, and including humans among the "beasts of the field," do fundies think it's bestiality if you have sex with another human?

That was uncalled for.

No Scott, what you are using here is not science.

Accepting that I'm an ape satisfactorily answers many salient questions, and makes much more sense than the idea that the human prototype was magically animated dirt.

Humans ARE apes. We fall under the same classification as the Gorillas, etc. Dumbass.

meh, I call myself a bald ape on a fairly regular basis. I don't claim everyone is ignorant, I don't claim to be super intelligent. I do get pissed off at idiots who have shut their brains off.
