Any particular reason God hasn't seen fit to punish Canada (or the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden...) for allowing same sex marriage?
Our economy is doing well when compared to the USA's and we haven't had anything like what you describe in the way of natural disasters.
Could it be because your deity doesn't exist?
