Just as God punished ancient Israel when they strayed too far from God's truth, America faces similar judgement if we do not "turn from our wicked ways." It's a good thing Lance gets it. Here I was thinking that the dead of 9/11 were the random victims of religious nutters, but now I know they were sinners struck down by God.
Not to take anything away from your legitimate sense of sadness and grief, but a sense of perspective wouldn't go amiss. One major attack in over 200 years and you ask "how many more must we endure"? Shut the fucking fuck up, ya know, and spend a couple of weeks in Iraq or Sudan and get to know what it actually means to live in a constant, realistic fear of not seeing another day. Sheesh. If this is how your god punishes you, he sure as fuck gives you the softly-softly treatment.
