For about 200 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, almost every American school taught the fact that all of America's Founding Fathers were Men of Faith, and most were Christians. There was always ample evidence to back this up and almost nobody ever seriously questioned this teaching.
But things have dramatically changed.
During the last few decades, American public schools have been taken over by militant atheists who detest Christianity. Atheists also have taken over most of the mass media, such as television, the movies, magazines and the Internet.

Well, perhaps we're, you know, getting smarter? And a lot of the Founding Fathers were, guess what? DEISTS. Deists who, by all accounts, often *loathed* Christianity.
"almost every American school taught the fact that all of America's Founding Fathers were Men of Faith, and most were Christians."
I just remember, "no law respecting an institution of religion or mandating a religion"
No one familiar with American History ever taught that, in school or elsewhere. As for the atheist takeover of television, movies, magazines and the internet, it's true. And if you want to continue to have access to them, you'll do as we say.
"Atheists also have taken over most of the mass media, such as television, the movies, magazines and the Internet."
I always thought that was "teh Jews" job. If fundies are going to be hateful, they should at least be consistent.
In 1976, a group of non-Christian heresiarchs escaped from a federal prison, where they were imprisoned for a crime they didn't commit. They then escaped to the Los Angeles underground, where they became teachers of science.
If you have a problem with religion, or if you want to indoctrinate small children, and no one else can help, and you can find them, you need . . . the Atheist Team.
It's all conspiracy by those militant liberal atheistic evolutionist abortion-loving Jew-demon heathens who want to rewrite history to say that the Founding Fathers weren't fundamentalist zealots, and are taking control over everything around us! They are everywhere, and they are after your children!!! Think of the CHILDREN!!!
I stipulate that if the religionists had so much control over the colonies in the 18th century, as the idiot here suggests, the Great Experiment would not have happened, and the Baptards would have been driven into the swamps by the Anglicans.
There was a time when textbook authors believed that children needed to be taught that their forebears were pious, honest people who would never think of doing anything immoral. That's why the Pilgrims got the role of first American colony in the books despite the fact that they weren't actually the first Europeans to settle here. That's why most of what Columbus did after he landed in the New World was left out of books.
This guy probably had one of those sanitized books which discarded historical accuracy in favor of presenting 'suitable' role models and calling it history.
There are getting to be too many conspiracy theories and they are cheapening the concept. As this falls between 'Darth Vader conspiracy' and 'Earth-Men Conspiracy', it is not as interesting as neither. Who the hell approved to make this a conspiracy anyways? And that raises my next question, who REALLY approves what's a valid conspiracy or not. Is it public opinion, or is there a secret cabal that meet on the Galapagos Islands, play Parcheesi, and decide how to divvy up the conspiracy racket amongst themselves?

You have to defeat the Final Boss of the Internet. Duh.
Al Gore, however, rolls all around the screen and he can take out your ship with his Series of Tubes attack, so be careful - pressing Y to bring up the forcefield DOES NOT WORK with Al Gore.
Here's a nice little article from the L.A. Times on one of those founding fathers (Jefferson) who took a pair of scissors to the New Testament and did a cut and paste job to create his own rational, supernatural-free version.
It's known as, appropriately, "The Jefferson Bible".

Of course Darwin Conspiracy did say "most were Christians", but no insignificant number weren't, and I think that is really the point. Not only were deists among them, they were numbered as some of the greatest among them.
If thats true, then what about these:
"Christianity...(has become) the most perverted system that ever shone on
man...Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the
teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the
first great corruptor of the teachings of Jesus."-Thomas Jefferson
"The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the
Christian religion."-John Addams

Have you actually ever read any of their writings? You know, where they politely bash your religion as being a Bronze Age superstition not worthy of further contemplation? Those that didn't do that outright were only slightly more kind.
Very few of the Founding Fathers could be considered a Christian in any meaningful way.
"During the last few decades, American public schools have been taken over by militant atheists who detest Christianity."
I detest ignorance and stupidity in the guise of Truth. Christianity just happens to be abundant in such bullshit.
"Atheists also have taken over most of the mass media, such as television, the movies, magazines and the Internet."
Oh please. How the hell would such an insignificant portion of the population achieve such a thing?
For about 200 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, almost every American school taught the fact that all of America's Founding Fathers were Men of Faith, and most were Christians.
WRONG! Almost all of them were at least Deists and Jefferson may have been an Atheist.
There was always ample evidence to back this up and almost nobody ever seriously questioned this teaching.
Yet you can't cite it. Too bad.

O RLY?
Atheists also have taken over most of the mass media, such as television, the movies, magazines and the Internet.
It's a conspiracy!
Jeepers Creepers, you'd see the antichrist in a polka-dot pattern, wouldn't you.
It's only since you freaks adopted an over-the-top mutated form of Christianity that you started thinking this. Of course anything compared to you guys is anti-gawd. The founding fathers have always been deists according to their own writings. That's never been argued until you freaks came along to redefine America in your own weird image.
Shut up and read something besides your bible for once. Try spending a day NOT thinking the world is out to get you. I think you'll discover there's a lot more to this world your god brought you into.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
