Most electronics today is based on Edison's work, and he did not have much use for logic and scientific method.

Thomas Edison despite his great advances was a rube who refused to educate himself. His discoveries were largely stolen from his own staff or simply conducted through trial and error. Had he educated himself and applied the Scientific method and logic, he probably would have discovered much more and America would be more adavanced.
To say that "most electronics today is based on Edison's work" is like saying that a nuclear submarine is based on the work of Ancient Roman boat builders. We use wires to carry current, and often use bulbs in which they glow -- but that's about it as far as comparing the technologies goes. Most modern electronics was inconceivable in Edison's day (though I'd bet that Tesla came closer to doing so than anyone else).

Or churchs, the Bible or Jesus. He had lived in reality and produced things people could actually use
That is retarded. Whether or not he used it, it doesn't invalidate the basis for gathering knowledge and wisdom from the physical world around us.
Also, were you his friend? Did he tell you that? If not, you really need to shut the fuck up.
Edison worked by trial and error, he tested materials and even when something worked he tried to make it work better. He was ambitious and saw markets that other 'wise businessmen' didn't.
As for the 'stealing of others ideas' well, business as usual
We have semiconductors. We win.
(Incidentally - Edison did use the scientific method. He kept trying different filaments until he found one that worked. His understanding of theory may not have been so good, but he was a thorough experimentalist.)
While it was one of Edison's failed light-bulb models that became the basis for vacuum bulbs, he made it completely by accident. He discarded it, too.
By the way, most electronic systems nowadays use TRANSISTORS, not vacuum bulbs.
Confused?
