It kinda of surprises me that you would ask that question... Before science ever got involved, we had a TV, Radio, Photograph, Movie Camera, Telephone, to name a few. What science gave us was the transister, and later the micro processor.

I'm going to be charitable and assume that given the slightly odd grammar ("we had a TV, Photograph, Movie Camera") JohnR7 isn't a native speaker of English.
But what must the people around him be like for him to pick up such a strange definition of the simple word "science"?
Hm, let's see. TV, radio, and telephone are all intimately connected, as all are dependent on some understanding of electronics (Tesla, Marconi, Bell, Faraday, etc). Photography and cinema are dependent on optics (back to Newton, at least) and photochemistry.
I'm sorry, what did you mean "before science ever got involved"?
Actually, God gave us the 'transister' along with medicine, vehicles and ways to make food.
All science gave us was Evolution and Non-American Atomic Bombs (God gave those to America).
Science (albeit primitive) gave us sharpened rocks and the method of using brain matter of the animals to soften their skins for clothes, way back in the stone age. We didn't have TVs, radios, photographs, movie cameras, telephones, etc then, surely.
English fail as well, dearie. "Kinda" is a shortening of "kind of", to say "kinda of" is to say "of" twice. And, I think you mean the transistor .
They like all these things so they have been pushing this shit for years that these products are just gadgets, no science involved in any of them.
How else could they villify science when it has so much to do with our modern lives? When they're trying to claim everything was good and Godly till 1962? Ironically for JohnR7 it doesn't take much of a search to find the churchs objections to TV, Radio, Photograph, Movie Camera, and Telephone when they were introduced.
Everything he mentioned went through research and testing development, the scientific process. The transistor and microchip technology were both about conserving space and material to produce the same or better results.
Funny. In all the time I've looked at the internals of old TVs (and I mean REALLY old TVs!), on the valves made by Mullard, General Electric etc, at no time did they have on them 'Made by God'; instead, they had on such 'Made in Britain', 'Made in USA' etc.
Therefore, are you suggesting that, before the invention of Solid State components such as Transistors & even early Integrated Circuits, valve-based electronics were the sole preserve of religious clergy in their manufacture?!
I know there was much opposition to Guttenberg's own invention - the Printing Press (which made the mass-printing of information, ideas & concepts, and not merely the Bible, to the masses), but this is stretching things so far, as to make Shaun T's 'Insanity Workout' seem like Pilates for the over-60s.
So, where are Radios, Photographs, etc in the bible. Oh, right, they were invented by science.
Ah...no. What, do you really think those things were just dropped from the heavens with a factory and instructions wholecloth? Science gave you those too. And your warm insulatd house. And your food which is safe to eat. Electricity, and lights. The list goes on and on...
What's a transister?
Idiot.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Fine live your life without science. no vaccinations, no medicine and no technology
There he is again. The ass that thinks David, advisor to the King and privy to all that the Kings court offers, couldn't have known Persia and Greece could be trouble without divine knowledge. (How could he NOT?)
Now thinks TV, Radio, Photograph, Movie Camera, Telephone all have "no science" behind them.
He's living in a sheltered Fundie bubble. Many of them claim modern things aren't science, "They're technology" I haven't heard it for a few years so I guess they lost that rebranding attempt. Comfort and Hovind have both tried to say this and that "Science is only the Theoretical work" Trying to put it all in the theory works and largely unproven concepts to belittle the sciences that bring us modern electronics, mechanics, industrial production, medical and etc and the regular advancements in every field.
So they can still say "What good has science done us"
They're still phoning into Atheist Experience with that claim.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
