I hate the show too, but that's because I think it's rubbish; badly written and badly acted. Not because it's somehow racist against white people.

I think the reasons why I hate the show can be summed up with this quote from the main female character:

[in response to another character asking her basically what's going on]

"Use your archeological imagination."

What does that even mean?! How about instead of using my imagination I use the scientific method and find out for certain what is actually happening. Fuck off, just fuck off.

If everything where the bad guy was English was racist, that'd be...more things than I can think of. I doubt a show that's actually made IN ENGLAND is going to be casting all that many people that aren't English, anyway. What should they do, bring in foreign actors just so asshats like Tom don't complain? Then everyone else will.
