The...uh...the Byzantine Empire? Christians helped a lot with that one, though. The Sasanian Persians are a better case, I guess. But that was over a thousand years ago, and it happened by, you know, conquest. With armies. No foothold situation involved.
They got Egypt. But it wasn't brought down by that, just changed hands. Actually helped the political organization of the rest of North Africa. Lots of little countries have been conquered or swallowed over the years, I guess...
Actually, the Ottomans made a lot of their advances into Europe by letting independent mostly-Muslim nomads go in first and then following with the army after the pastoralists had opened things up and given them locals to rely on. In the Balkans. So that's a little like what he's saying. Except...really not. And still hundreds of years ago.
The Mughals gave the Hindus a bit of trouble, I guess...no, it's just not working.

Oh, how right you are, speaking myself as a resident - and forcibly converted adherent of Allah - of the Islamic Republic of Britanistan, amirite?!
A question, Jesus Groupie: there's far more Muslim citizens/immigrants in the US than much of Europe - certainly in my country, the UK. Do you have Sharia law?
If your answer is the only one possible, you've just destroyed your own argument.
...oh, and one more thing: as every Professor of Theology will tell you, the Judeo-Christian God (Jehovah', 'YHWH' etc), Jewish 'Elohim'(as they refer to him), and Islamic 'Allah' are all one and the same.
Look at your argument that has been brought down by those - who certainly know more about your own 'beliefs' than you do - more learned, and therefore superior to you.

Rome was brought down by Christians. When it still followed Greco-Roman mythology, it was prosperous. That and Europe had the Dark Ages after that, but guess what? The Islamic world at the time was obsessed with mathematics and science. The term algebra and several star names come from Arabic.
