I would think that a child who is beaten and/or raped by their parents would probably worry more about THAT than about the underlying idea that their parents are disrespectful to them.

He's talking about this:
"I do not condone those actions, what he does within his castle has nothing to do with me.
if i chose to interfere then i am disrespecting that family's rights the same as the father is disrespecting his daughters rights
Two wrongs don't make a right
You can't condone abuseing family rights and condem the father for abuseing his dauthers rights your doing the same thing as him
Its called disrespect and i find to be quite sad just how many people don't respect other peoples rights. but thats the thing people don't have to, its a choice and i have to respect that people are free to make that choice to disrespect other people..otherwise i become just another disrespectful person in the world, so i can't condone actions of disrespect"
"Parents are free to beat and rape and kill, we all are free to do these things and why i don't condone these actions i have to respect that people have free will to do these actions if i don't then i am just another disrespectful person in this world"
Long story short: He thinks that the attempt to protect children's rights is not a valid reason for society to infringe on parents' rights. (Why am I suddenly put in mind of people like L. Neal Smith? Although I can't believe even he would go this far...)
There's such a thing as taking neutrality too far, yes?

I agree that abusive parents are wrong, but being disrespectful for religious reasons are wrong, too. And judging by the fact that you're a fundie on an atheist board, you're clearly just wanting attention because fundies tend to troll on atheist sites more than moderates and liberals.
