No one, without God, can love someone purely. Human love has motives and personal desires. God's love is unconditional.
Consider relief workers. Christian and secular groups both go to remote places to help people. Some would say that both groups were loving. I'd say that for the most part, the Christians are going out of love for God and people. I'd say that the secular types are going to satisfy a need within themselves (warm fuzzies, "I made a difference, looks good on a resume, etc).
Unregenerated sinners can not love someone with God's love.

You say that for the most part, the Christians are going out of love for God and people, but everyone else is selfish and trying to pad their resume. I disagree. I think that Christians are going out of love for God and people and maybe to pad their resumes, and I think everyone else is going out of love for people and maybe to pad their resumes. People are charitable, and love is a biological and interpersonal effect, not a magic cloak granted by god. And anyway, prove that God's love is unconditional. Did God tell you that? If so, did you take a recording, maybe you've got a video on YouTube? No. You've got the words of man, and humans have motives and personal desires, right? You lose.
Christian Aid workers surely have an agenda - conversion. Whether that's overt, or more subtle in that they're hoping to impress the potential converts by their goodness and holiness, that's the reality.
Secular aid workers have no such agenda.
And to be honest, we ALL do nice things because it makes us feel good. No harm in that.
Hi shit-head. I'm a relief worker (40 years service).
Christians go there to CONVERT, I go there to help my fellow man.
The christians bring food, medicines and tents - for themselves - and feed the needy on fucking BIBLES.
>God's love is unconditional.
He loves you, but he'll send you to hell unless you accept Jesus.
... It's like saying "I love you, but if you don't suck me off, I'll beat you every day for the rest of your life. But I love you."
... What?
Except he lobs ou to the fire pit if you don't believe in him, or are gay, or believe in evolution, or vote Democrat...
Sorry, where I come from, that's the definition of conditional love.
love is a human emotion. tried, true, and observable.
your ass backwards version of a god doesnt have reign over that because you claim it does.

Since I can't remember the context of my quote, I can't really address that conversation, but I can say I do stand by what I said back in 2002. There is a love that man can express, a measure of giving one's self to another, but it still falls short of the love a renewed, God filled heart can express for its fellow man. And natural love falls far short of the love that God has for all of us. Now when I talk about a renewed heart, it's not the heart of someone who has attached themselves to the Christian religion in order to be part of the Sunday social club of good people, but a heart that's repented and desired a relationship with God, allowing Him to free the owner to be a new person. I can assure you that every "Christian" hasn't done this.
And yes, Christians do hope to share their faith with others in order to see them restored to God as well, which in itself is an act of love. Obviously if you have something good, you want to share it with others. However, in the situation mentioned, they don't withhold their service to others based on their acceptance of the message; it's offered to everyone freely. But in addition to getting some food and medical care, they also have the opportunity to receive a new life and an open relationship with God. That's a win for everyone.
But back to love. Yes, God's love is unconditional. He loves us before we love him. While we still hate him, he made the ultimate sacrifice, his son, in order to allow us to be reconciled to him. He loves us no matter what we say about him or do, but love is not the only thing that motivates God, he's also just and holy.
The fact is, everyone IS going to hell, not because of sins they've committed, but because of their sinful nature, that attitude that rebels against and hates God. Since that’s man’s natural attitude, God is justified and right in giving people the verdict they deserve, separation from him and punishment alongside the devil. Judgment and justice, something everyone wants for the other guy, the one who deserves it, but they desire pass when it pertains to them. However, God also offers mercy, forgiveness, restoration and a relationship with him, through his son, Jesus Christ, by having Jesus pay the penalty for man's sin. It’s a free gift, an open opportunity, all you gotta do is accept it and believe it, repent and give your life to God. If you refuse God after everything he's done for you, that's on you and you get what you deserve.
It's something called accountability and God’s love doesn’t overlook justice.

So, God loves us regardless of our sins, and will never punish us? Good to know...
Some Christians seem to do charity only to score points with their God. When I donate to relief groups, I do that so that other people's lives will be a little bit better. They will never know that I in particular have donated, my small contribution didn't do that much of a difference. It's lots of people donating something that makes the difference.
Who puts "I donate money to charity" on their resume? Sure, I've put "I was once secretary in my local Red Cross affiliate", but that's due to the secretary part and to people willing to trust me enough to be secretary of anything. Not due to me being goody-good or "fuzzy".
I don't believe in the existence of any gods, I'm content with the love of an empathic human.

That is the very definition of the word "Condition".
The thing you said your god did not have, remember?
Which brings us to a major problem with Christian Charity. It's NEVER about helping the less fortunate, it's about the fucking church. It's why Christian organizations spend about 5% on the cause and keep the rest while secular organizations provide about 60% to the cause. The Christian organizations rely on secular or goverment help for transportation and distrubution of product on top of this.
Helping fellow mankind because it's the right way or the human way trumps religions practice and agenda most the time.
It's crap brainwashing like this guy that's made American churchs as rich and powerful as corperations.
"God's love is unconditional."

Frankly, Satan's love is infinitely preferable. Thanks for the advert for Satanism, pal.
