[Oh the irony]
I am married to a UU. They are very deceiving. I didn't really know what a UU was when I married my husband. He said he went to church, I asked if he believed in Jesus and he said yes.....later he told me that Jesus was a nice guy with some good moral stories. He doesn't believe in hell and he tells me CONSTANTLY how intolerant Christians are.....
10+ years of this garbage and I'm still sticking around trying to witness to him. I have just about given up-it gets worse all the time.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have run screaming in the other direction....

Submit to your lord and master, bitch!
Seriously, it probably would have helped if you'd married him for love, ya know? Then you'd be able to make it work. But I'm sure he regrets marrying you as well.
That thread sickens me to the very core of my being. There is another thread about pastor Greg Laurie's son being killed, and they're all crying and fervently praying. Then there's this thread in which some "hellbound liberals" were brutally murdered in their own house of worship and instead of praying they have to use it as an excuse to bitch about UU's, the "liberal media" and the goddamn fact that the kids were putting on the play "Annie". Does it really matter a good god damn what the play was? People fucking died, people were injured and everyone else had to witness such a horrible scene.
I hate them. I hate them with a burning passion.
Submit to your husband. And when he says Christians are intolerant, is he really saying you are intolerant?
By the way, submitting means when the lord of the house tells you to shut the hell up, you shut the hell up. Maybe hubby should drop by a sex shop and pick up a ball gag.
Guessing Poe. Who would actually stick around with a spouse if they're so flippin' fundie?
Even the New Testament would back her up on leaving him, that "unequal yoke" stuff.
Wait. When dating, you never went to his church? You two never discussed your religious beliefs in any detail more than "Do you believe in Jesus?"
What was this, some kind of Vegas wedding? Do you think you could have divined before the vows if he were Catholic or Jewish? Please tell me you at least knew his name!
This is in the thread about the shooting in the Unitarian (a.k.a. "liberal") church.
Most of the people in the thread...I WISH I could say I hope they share the fate of the victims in the shooting. But I DON'T, because what the victims faced must've been fucking AWFUL, and something I can't, for the life of me, wish on someone else.
If there is a God, I'll let him decide who is or who is not going to hell. In the meantime, I'll just be empathetic towards my fellow man.
These RR-tards are shit-eating knuckle-draggers, the whole lot.
I'll add to the general consensus, that is one CREEPY thread. Those scumbags are not interested in considering that it was wrong to kill innocents, just trying to rationalize their death cult beliefs and coward's desire for revenge :
"Allowing murderers to live cheapens life, is unloving and non-compassionate to the victim and any surviving family and friends."
It does not take an Einstein to figure out that since liberals murder babies, they need some shootin'. And that the bible says not to allow quite a lot of people to live besides literal murderers, actually.
The comment of 'My Jesus I Love Thee', taken in isolation, is quite funny, however.
It's called divorce. Henry the 8th made the Church of England especially for people like you. You still get to worship this God of yours, but you get to divorce your non-believing husband. That is unless your cult get to him first. Poor guy.
I bet he married her for lols and he actually has a GOOD family on the side (or she's the side,) she probably spends half her time at church, the other half on the internet on RR, so she wouldn't know if he was gone
Curse that tolerance of others! I can't stand any more of it!
Oh, and Jesus says that divorce and re-marriage is tantamount to adultery.
"If I knew then what I know now, I would have run screaming in the other direction.... "
And I am quite sure after 10+ yrs of your babbling about your death cult, he wishes the same thing.
Yeah start running then woman.

That thread is just sick.
They just can't help but to take the time to bash.
Nice to see some of the fundis are actually stepping in and telling them to stop it.
Telling them that whatever they believed they DIDN'T deserve it. (Of course for the RRtards it's because they weren't saved first)
These guys usually pride themselves for their intolerance... I feel bad for the UU guy, really. 'MyJesusILoveThee' is about ready to leave him because he won't convert to her religion... I mean, jeez. That's pretty fucking horrible.
And, yes, that entire thread is awful and tasteless.
"10+ years of this garbage and I'm still sticking around trying to witness to him. I have just about given up-it gets worse all the time."
The man should be given an award for his patience.
"If I knew then what I know now, I would have run screaming in the other direction...."
I'm sure there have been occasions when he thought the same thing.
The more I hear about the UUs from fundies like that, the more I like them (the UUs, I mean).
We don't have UUs in France, but I guess that the more-or-less-half-of-population that is Catholic by denomination here is actually UU by dogma. (Jesus = hippie, be nice to people, absolutely no theology, most don't even know what transubstantiation or immaculate conception are about).
HA! And now, simply because you're a fundie christian, you must stay with him until you die, because you'll be damned [both literally and figuratively] if you even consider a divorce and another partner.
Solution? Grow a brain!
Don't thank me. I'm glad I could help.
An afterlife Hell does not exist, but your marriage is proof of Hell on earth.
Hell is other people...
Especially people from RR.
If you were that far off the deep end 10+ years ago, I doubt that he would have married you. I'm thinking you've developed some serious mental issues, and HE's just sticking around on the off-chance that he can convince you to get some help.
I am married to a fundie bitch. They are very deceiving. I didn't really know what a fundie bitch was when I married my wife. She said she went to church, I asked if she believed in Jesus and she said yes.....later she told me that Jesus was the son of God and born w/o anyone having sex or anything dirty like that. She believes in hell and she tells me CONSTANTLY how I'm going to go there...
10+ years of this garbage and I'm still sticking around trying to deal with this crap. I have just about given up-it gets worse all the time.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have run screaming in the other direction....
You better submit to the head of the household! how dare you questioning your husband?!
Judging by this post, your husband must be a saint putting up with you, or you must be ana especially good lay!
It's posts like this that have me convinced that fundies don't actually understand what "love" is -- which is painfully ironic, since they're always harping on about how their god "loves" everyone and wants them to "love" their neighbor.
Fucking bitch. According to her religion, shouldn't she be submitting to her man and getting her ass back in the kitchen, rather than presuming to preach to him?
I asked if he believed in Jesus and he said yes.....later he told me that Jesus was a nice guy with some good moral stories.
That should serve as an important life lesson for you - try asking a question that is less vague and ambiguous next time. Evidently he thought you merely meant "Do you believe somebody called Jesus existed?" You presumably never specified whether he was an ordinary but charismatic human being or a magic zombie.
Their courtship must've been a riot:
HIM: "Hi, I'm Steve."
HER: "Hi, I'm Joyce. Let's get married!"
HIM: "Uh ... okay!"
HER: "Oh, but I can't marry you unless you go to church and believe in Jesus."
HIM: "Yes on both counts."
HER: "Woo hoo! Get in the car, Sam --"
HIM: "It's Steve."
HER: "Whoever. We're goin' to Vegas!"
This kind of reminds me of my uncle Ruppert, who's a retired Unitarian minister. Married my aunt, adopted her deaf son by a previous marriage, and learned sign language to communicate with him (which is damn rare for natural parents and unheard-of for step-parents). Had his mother-in-law move into their home when she couldn't live alone. And took care of my aunt through her depression, alcoholism, and the cancer that ended her life.
Unitarians must be a lot closer to Jesus than the Rapturds could ever hope to be. Maybe that's why the RR fruit is so very bitter .
What you don't know, MJILT, is that he's probably had the divorce papers sitting blank in his sock drawer for years... kinda reminds me of the scene in The Joy Luck Club where the woman finds out that her husband is cheating on her because she's such a moosh that he doesn't respect her anymore...
I had to look it up in the Urban Dictionary -
1. UU
UU stands for the religion Unitarian Universalism
UUs let you believe whatever you want but they have 7 principles which are:
The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

In other words, every thing a fundy is against.
Yeah; some Christian you are, MyJesusLoveThee: there's actually a verse that deals with this very situation, and you've ignored it for going on ten years now.
1 Peter 3
1) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives ;
2) While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
3) Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4) But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
5) For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands
I am married to a UU.
Noooo way. There is no way at all Calliope would want to marry such a hateful person as you.

UU: what an arsehole! i swear, she's dangeroUsly approaching my brother in terms of Unlikeability.
See, she's disgusted with you. And that's an achievement. Even her patience has an end, however unbelievable.
(Yes, I know what UUism is, but I couldn't help it)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
