The difference between us, Jenniefleur, is that I will still exist on Earth, while you who are "raptured" might just end up as part of the stock on a extradimensional perfume counter...
(Nigel Kneale in his last Quatermass story, postulates a thinly disguised Rapture & the assoicated time of Tribulation, & has essentally has "The Rapturists", abeit in the form of the Planet People cult, who believe that "the Chosen" will be taken off earth, to a paradise on another world...
Later, he finds out/discovers/conjectures (Delete As Applicable), after analysing the remains of "The Rapturists", that are left behind, that a extradimensional lifeform, is essentally "Harvesting" humanity, for part of a condiment, or perfume, used by said lifeform...).

We're (at least not me) not mocking you and rest of your kind because of believing the Rapture. It's because the Rapture Ready cult are a group of nutcases who twist Christianity to fit their own views and label those who have different opinions as misinformed.

Since I know you're reading:
It affects you, that is why what we say here keeps getting mentioned over there. You should believe in whatever you want, it is your right as a human. However, when you (personally- or as a member of a group of like minds) decide to morally judge other people (who are not associated with you or your group) based on your beliefs, and further try to impose those values on the rest of society- you are going to get a very well deserved negative reaction. It isn't just the fact that many people outside your religion find it bizarre/illogical/humorous- they find it dangerous, and insulting. So before you go getting your feelings hurt, think about why other people might say the things they say. Don't get the idea that they don't understand either. Many people were raised with the same beliefs as you, or have studied your religion and have decided beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is wrong for them because they cannot rationalize it. They are just as entitled to that decision as you are to hold to your beliefs.

Don't you find it the least bit odd that the only requirement for getting raptured is to suck up to some 2000 year old dead guy? You know, cult leaders use the same tactic-worship me, and I'll promise you all sorts of wonderful things. Yet all they do is steal your money, cut you off from your families and turn you into their slaves.

If you must center your whole life around Jesus, at least stick to his true message-love one another, be honest and kind, and help others. And live your life, instead of cowering away from all the "evil" in the world, and obsessing with some fantasy that will never happen. Trust me, you'll notice a difference.
