No, no! You've got it all twisted around. First came the Dark Ages, then the Renaissance. After that we got the Industrial Revolution followed by the Enlightenment. The 21st century is generally labelled as the "Information Age".

And, outside the Bible, is there any other reason for believing that?. Jesus made absolutely no comment on that. Paul was fairly laconic and just a man and the old testament, apart from scarce and ambiguous, says other nonsense such as abominations like mixed fabrics and lobster.

Yes, truly when Christianity had a stronger influence on how the world was run it was much better.

Say, have you been keeping your sabbath day holy enough, or have you been doing bad things like cooking food and driving a car? And while we're on the subject, when is your sabbath day. Do you really follow the Bible or did you let the pope decide your god picked the wrong day? And for one more step, does your day begin at sunrise, because the Bible says God separated the light from the darkness, proving that darkness was there first, causing night to be first.

Starting the day in the morning goes against the Bible. So perhaps you should be living in dark times, no?
