"The God of Abraham"
Yes, that's who they're talking about. I'm guessing this one knows nothing about Ishmael?
"say Allah told them to do it"
Weren't some of these the ones defending the Knoxville shooter because "God" must have wanted him to do it?
"This is not the one true God, the God of Israel"
Um, yeah, it is, sorry. Maybe actually read sometimes?
"my God"
A bit possessive are we?
"the only God"
says who? Reading through your bible, I'm more lead to believe it's alluding more to the existence of others than denying it. Thus the need for "no other gods before me" not "shall have no other gods", not "there are no other gods" but "I come first". Man was the one who started the whole "one true god thing" changing your immutable word again, just like the whole incident in the Garden of Eden none of you ever pick up on.
"the only God"
again, yes it is. Unless I'm forgetting something, Abraham had two sons (that we'll discuss now). Isaac, and Ishmael. I may have it backwards, but first came Ishmael, but he was out of wedlock or not official for some reason. Then was Isaac who was what everyone wanted, but technically second. So when the big discussion came about as to who was the first son, some people said Ishmael, some people said Isaac, and so lines between Yahweh (Sorry, you probably know him best as simply "god") and Allah were drawn, but not really. So ultimately Allah and Yahweh are more the same than you insist "God" and Jesus are.
My apologies if there are errors in my history lesson, but I think for something I don't follow I probably did reasonably well.
