Women now work and have good careers (which you could say is the man's job to provide) men can't have it both ways...and the man being the boss, so to speak, that is dark ages thinking, when women were chained to the sink and at the husband's beck and call ... Not for me thank you very much. I bow down to no man.

And men and women not being able to have friendships, that is jealousy speaking, if you can't trust yourself to be friends with the opposite sex, then the problem is you, not the friendship, and if you can't trust your spouse then the problem is in the relationship and obviously you have reason not to trust ... If you can't trust your husband/wife not to have sex with a friend... well what's the point in staying married?

Jas, our society may have elevated women to equal status with men. However, the Scriptures tell us a wife's role is to be a help meet while the husband is the head of household. This is the stance we will take here on this board as it's Scriptural and not worldly. So feel free not to post in threads that upset you or don't meet with your interpretation of a marriage relationship.
