[Question: Why is it that people believe everthing someone tells them. Yet most people still dont believe in Christ?]
Answer
Wow. I've never thought about it THAT way. Great post.
I think that they KNOW God is real...but the atheists find it easier to deny Jesus, than to believe. It's easier because you don't have to worry about sin, and going to church, and praying.

This question has to be a Poe. Please, Please, Please... Just no one could be so stupid, could they?
Answer: Because those who believe anything they're told do believe in Jesus Christ, unless some other religion got to them first.
It's the skeptics that become atheists.
It is easier. I mean, going to church, explaining it to your friends, going door-to-door proselytizing, jumping up and down with joy, being filled with Christ every night, making shit up, ignoring logic, and using special pleading and rationalization to cover up the nonsense... Seems really fucking hard. I couldn't do it.

I know no such thing, that's why I'm an atheist. As far as Jesus is concerned, the jury's still out on his actual existence as a historical person but I don't believe he was divine.
As to believing anything anyone tells me, if they have convincing evidence to back up their claims, no problem.
Christians have yet to provide me with anything except their flawed book of fairy tales.
From what I have read on these pages; and the boards from which the quotes come; Fundies are the some of the most tormented, insecure people I have ever come across. For all the manufactured happiness that they expound, the average Fundie is preoccupied with death, and preoccupied with thoughts of THEIR OWN SELF. Narcissism and fixed religious delusions are a dangerous combination.
The majority of person who believe in Christ, believe in him because they believe the crap their family, pastor or "friends" tell them. A little independent thinking and a couple of good information sources could help most of them.
Worrying about sin, going to church and praying are certainly easier than reading a scholarly book and thinking for oneself.
Naw. Atheists just like, or appreciate, or are used to, being responsible for their own damn selves and finding their own damn morals. That's actually pretty hard. It's not just pawning it off on a fairy-tale monster or saying "because the Blue Fairy said so."
Whaaaat? Are you SERIOUSLY claiming that people in general tend to believe stories when they clearly contradict reality in fundamental ways?
The next question naturally follows : are you in an asylum or just taking massive amounts of street drugs?
Well done, fundie. Your reason is very promising.

Exactly, that's a good reason not to be religious. It saves your time and energy for things that might actually be USEFUL. Having to go to church and having to pray is asking too much, and it's bullshit. Oh, and that's exactly what things like sin and the existence of God are: Bullshit.
I understand where you're coming from, I was once as unquestioningly certain of the existance of God as you are.
The first atheist I met came as a real shock to me.
Now try to accept the reality in front of your eyes.
Atheists really mean what they say.
Unlike many Christians who seem to think that if they keep saying something long enough it'll make it come true. And that to me means they know that it isn't true right now.

Fixed it for ya.
"Why is it that people believe everthing someone tells them."
They don't, unless they're really, really, ...
really stupid.
Like you.
God isn't real.
That is why I don't believe in him.
And yes, it is easier because you do not have to worry about sin, going to church, and praying.
Eh, people who believe everything they're told, usually DO believe in Christ.
People who remain skeptical until evidence is presented, usually DON'T believe in Christ.
I think you KNOW that Shiva is real, Sty, but you find it easier to deny than to believe.
Sure, we don't have to do any of those things. Instead we have to treat others as we want to be treated because it's the right thing to do, we have to try to solve problems in THIS world instead of just leaving them in the hands of imaginary beings, and we can't talk to the imaginary beings and fool ourselves that we ARE doing something. Soooo easy!
Erp,,,Derp.
If they "believe everthing someone tells them" they'd be Christians AND everything else as well. Bible Belters.
Atheists would be one of the last people who "believe everthing someone tells them" would be AS IT'S NOT A BELIEF SYSTEM, YOU MORON.
Tell us, how are we supposed to KNOW, exactly?
How can you say what I know and what I don't know? Can you read minds? That means you're Satan! Begone, evil!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
