[Thread title: Is God trying to fake Satan out?]

I find it interesting that there have been times in the past where there were all kinds of neon arrows pointing to a date as the rapture, but it didn't happen.

For instance, it was exactly 14,000 days from the capturing of Jerusalem to Oct. 3, 2005 (the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the feast of which "no man knows the hour"). Over Jerusalem, the night sky was perfectly aligned as described in Rev. 12. On Oct. 3, there was an earthquake on the Mount of Olives. Forty days prior, one of the biggest natural disasters of our generation occurred when Katrina hit. The prior December, there was another huge event with "roaring and tossing of the seas" causing "perplexity" among the nations in the southeast Asia tsunami.

You had this scripture almost perfectly spelled out:

{Luke 21:25-28}

My point being, does God make dates look good to throw Satan off? Is it important that Satan not know when the rapture will occur?

I wonder if that also is why it appears the 6,000 years of man apparently has already come and gone. My thought is that perhaps God doesn't want Satan to know the time, and for that reason he has added some time to the 6,000 years.

What are your thoughts on this?
