Quote# 4448

Why a big bang, why not just a bang, or a little bang... why couldn't the bang be the size of a pea. Why wouldn't the bang keep on banging, what set the paramerters of the size of this bang for it to be any size that it can be claimed to be a big bang or is that claim false, if its false why claim it to be a big bang. Sounds like a bit of spice put on something to sell me something... Well i aint buying it. i'm sure there are a lot of fools that have.

Well it was going to be a little bang, but then it found a free coupon for a mega upgrade and became the big bang.

Is his main quibble with the relative size of the...bang?

Paley was wrong

No No No No the term big bang was originally coined by the astronomer Fred Hoyle as a derogatory term for the theory which he disdained however it back fired as this term came to popularise the theory.

It's not even the only theory to the start of the universe, it's only the most accepted. Look up the string theory too.

Why wouldn't the bang keep on banging

Impotency.

Screw string theory. M-theory is where it's at.

Try thinking for once, people. The only theory that fits all previous data or yields accurate astronomical predictions is the theory of a wizard did it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, no one knows how big the singularity was or how big it needed to be to expand. What you call "spice" is evidence or the best explanation we have with the data available.

Again, science has to explain everything with absolute certainty but Christianity has to prove nothing.
