[Did God say that earth was the only place He created life?]
(cody) it is conceivable that God created life on other planets but inconceivable that any of them were made in his image. that would mean Jesus would have to go and die on every planet that God created life in his image on.
(hasse_john) It is implied (in Job) that there is other life. Since this is the sin marred blight on the universe, I am sure we are 'Quarantined'

I think you two should be quarantined to stop the spread of you stupidity.
What's really fucked up about this line of "thinking" is that if we ever do come in contact with an extra-terrestrial race who were peaceful, fundies would never accept them as people because they're not human and therefore not created in "His image" and therefore not special. No matter how advanced or intelligent, christians like cody would deem them inferior and no more above that of an earthworm because they have no "soul".

Limiting your omni-all God yet again, huh?
*@ J-Hay, that's depressing..
"that would mean Jesus would have to go and die on every planet that God created life in his image on. "
Wouldn't this mean that every planet where God created sentient life, that life disobeyed God? Like over and over again?
Wouldn't this imply a flawed creator?
At least according your (ahem) ..."Logic"
Jesus was into bondage, he LOVED to die over and over again.
Besides, according to your big book o' fairy tales he ''dissapeared'' from his ''last'' resting place.
I call for U.S.S Enterprise.
"that would mean Jesus would have to go and die on every planet that God created life in his image on. "
Yeah, dying and coming back to life once is hard enough! What else do you want, you vultures?
Since this is the sin marred blight on the universe, I am sure we are 'Quarantined'
Right on! Let's make sure we carry on the Christian tradition of shame-based guilt. After all, how else would the Christian church keep us under its thumb?
It is implied (in Job) that there is other life.
What a shame Job is a stolen mythological fable that was re-shaped to fit the Christian doctrine.
I really wonder if we ever find aliens, if they have fundies like this who claim we can't be made in their god's image, 'cause we're two-legged and two-armed and hairy and don't have any Cthulhu-like tentacles.
"Since this is the sin marred blight on the universe, I am sure we are 'Quarantined'"
This might not be far off from the truth. If you were an alien, would you choose to visit a planet full of fundies that would mistake you for the beast of revelation and/or god upon your landing?
"that would mean Jesus would have to go and die on every planet that God created life in his image on."
...Wait a minute. Is Cody saying that it's inevitable that any population made in God's image would have to have become entranced by sin and corruption?
I wish they'd make up their minds. Is sin necessary or not necessary to God's ideals?!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
