What a piece of junk!! I'm surprised I did not here hello comrade in there good grief. Let's see big business bad, religion is bad, and we need to all get together and pass out flowers to people and instead of using money we should use conk shells or something. Man who every made this just woke up from the Woodstock days. That must have been some powerful drugs they consumed. Sorry for the rant but I just get tired of seeing people trash religion (Christianity) and America as if we are bad. My gosh we just want everyone to live to their potential, man I sorry we care. Go move to Myimor or Sudan, Cuba, China, North Korea, Zimbabwe, and or Mars if you do not like this country. Why do you fear Christianity? Because of PRIDE and your fear to see you are not perfect. If you accept Christ you can't justify then all the bad unmoral things you want to do so by denying Christ you make yourself feel better. Ok, I could go on but I think I will stop.

Why? Because the last time Christians had the whip hand they killed anyone who disagreed with them.

I don't. I fear nutjob Christians like you, who rant and rave and virtually foam at the mouth when anyone so much as accidentally implies that maybe your god doesn't actually exist, or some equally horrible thing.
Actually, his first few words are correct. Zeitgeist was junk. Oh the bit about religion had some interesting tidbits in it (as did the other parts), but the "truth" that the producer synthesised out of the various facts are not to be trusted beyond what you might expect from any other "truther" type person.

I do, however, fear people with no grasp of morals. People who lie and demonize others for their own personal gain. People whose only reason for not killing others is their fear of divine retribution. People who think being gay is worse than raping someone. People who think sex is as bad as murder. People who actually try to justify genocide by saying that it was the will of God. People who think being omnipotent means you are never in the wrong.
That is what I fear.
I guess the best defense of Zeitgeist in the end is the debunk videos and site exerpts. The movie made a few mistakes and guessed at some scenarios. However when you compare it to the works of Hovind, Comfort, Nazi Apologists, David Barton or the claims of many Right-wing fundamentalists groups, politicians and their sheeple, well now it's a shining beacon of truth.
A propaganda and conspiracy goes, Zeitgeist is the least of our worries.
It always amuses me when I see these people accusing other people of Pride. The whooshfest, Holier-Than-Thou, "Jesus and I are BFFs, and he says he doesn't really like you that much" crew. I know damn well I am imperfect. Flawed. Damaged even. But I also know that in spite of that...hell, probably BECAUSE of that, I am a damn good person. I am giving, kind, and I am loathe to see someone suffer, particularly if it is in a fashion I have suffered. How about you? By the way, screeching Bible verses doesn't count as helping others, and easing their suffering. Furthermore, I feel I need to mention "My gosh we just want everyone to live to their potential." These are the people who rail and moan and bitch and whine any time anything comes down the line for someone less privileged that they to get a leg up. Because heavens forbid, The Evil Obama takes any of their glorious, holy money.
Wonder what their BFF Jesus would say about that mentality...?
