So, Bleach is evil, but not Death Note? Both have the shinigami, but the Death Note shinigami are even MORE monstrous and demonic looking. In Bleach they look like humans (I know, I know, except for Saijin. Where in the hell did they get a giant, talking... Is that a fox or a shiba inu?)
Fuck you, Yellow7! "Bleach" is, hands down, the best Manga I've ever read. And the ghosts are called Hollows. Get it right.
The only way that Bleach is evil is that it is a fairly cliched shounen fighting anime. And we have enough of those, with Dragonball/Z/GT, InuYasha, etc...
Oh, and what about Death Note? Ryuk's practically a nightmare, compared to that Rukia bitch.

I wouldn't exactly say it's evil; only that Kubo Tite has gone down the Masashi Kishimoto ("Naruto"), Eiichiro Oda ("One Piece"), Akira Toriyama ("Dragonball") & Hirohiko Araki ("Jojo's Bizarre Adventure") road so beloved of Weekly Shonen Jump's mangaka, of dragging things out unjustifiably, OVER 9000 chapters/episodes with no end in sight, just to squeeze more yen out of the suck... er, I mean Shueisha's loyal readership.

I don't like Bleach, but mainly because it's overrated and too tl;dw for my needs. Don't think it's evil at all.
Also, not sure if anyone on fstdt knows about Kuroshitsuji or Disgaea, but I'd LOVE to see the fundies' rants on the animes for those (or the game in Disgaea's case).

OK, I am not a fan of Bleach, I couldn't get through more than 2 episodes before I gave up (I AM a anime fan in general, but that whole shounen fighting series genre just isn't for me), but its not EVIL. That's just silly. Like, doesn't he fight evil spirits and protect innocents?

How did we get to this strange place? Bleach does integrate some parts of Japanese myth and culture into its storytelling, but that's a moot point, as it is a work of FICTION!
