If anything this proves the intrinsic nihilism of Christian fundamentalism, which sees the world as valuable only as it approximates to the will of their benevolent supernatural tyrant and his arbitrary rule. Even their own lives are completely and totally useless in and of themselves, they only have instrumental value. I mean i know that in many mass movements people see themselves as less important than the whole but i don't think any other ideology has this sort of apathetic view of life, and the future as not valuable unto itself. Humans (whether individuals or the human race collectively), plants, animals, the cosmos all of it holds no importance at all. It's all just instrumental at furthering God's agenda.
To fundies all of history, culture, scientific and ethical progress, art and civilization are meaningless. All this shows is that Christian fundaMentalists are traitors to everything Western civilization stands for.
