@ MessianicServant #679608: Guess I can't tell you what to do with your time- it's yours to waste if you want to. But let me ask you this: what, exactly, do you hope to accomplish? I don't know about others, but I don't much care about the rating. I almost never rate, and when I skim over the "Latest Comments" page, I don't bother looking at it. The only place where it could potentially have an effect is on the "Top 100 Quotes" page, but even that would do nothing but to make a reader wonder about the intelligence of many raters here, to see that such a blatantly stupid and fundie quote got such a low rating, assuming that your and your brothers' votes are even a large enough part of the voting population to affect it by more than a hundredth or so. You see, the "Top 100" page- it doesn't work by taking really high rated quotes, not exactly. It works by showing the highest rated quotes, meaning that even if you, somehow, get all the quotes down to a rating of- we'll say, 3- the fundiest quotes will still end up with a higher rating, even if that rating is "3.1). In addition, even if you and your brothers do go ahead and vote a bunch of quotes down, it won't do much more than possibly shuffle the positions of a few quotes around on the "Top 100" page and, perhaps, inspire a few more people than would not usually rate the quote to rate it, thinking "why is this rated so low?" effectively counteracting your efforts. In addition, your frequent comments here actually end up cycling through quotes on the "Recent Comments" page, which I read, as you only bump up some posts, which, combined with your tendency to get quoted on here, does nothing more than give us a bunch of new material to laugh at. Do you really consider this a valuable use of your time?

(And yes, I know that he's probably either Poe-ing or trolling- he totally overplayed his hand with the "Lenin/Lennon" thing, and the particular post on which he made this comment is highly suspect- but the point still stands.)

As for the original post- amusing, given many of the other quotes on here, but not particularly fundie. Hell, I'd love it if more people listened to him- granted, we'd lose a lot of material, but it'd be worth it to stop listening to the majority bitch and moan about being oppressed.
