Quote# 45741

In an April 9, 2007, posts to her website and the Illinois Review blog, Stanek wrote: "The following, if true, is what abortion and the dehumanization of preborn babies has wrought. It is the most despicable outcome of abortion I have ever seen or reported. Yet, if one is 'pro-choice' and denies that preborn humans are human, there is nothing wrong with this whatsoever. It can't even be considered cannibalism."

She then cited a March 29, 2007, Epoch Times article, which reported: "The Next Magazine, a weekly publication from Hong Kong, reported that infant corpses and fetuses have become the newest supplements for health and beauty in China. Not only is the placenta considered a beauty remedy, but also aborted fetuses are much sought after delicacies. In Guangdong, gourmet body parts are in high demand and can even be purchased through hospitals..."

After a reader questioned the truth of the claims, Stanek wrote: "[A]ccording to Wikipedia, The Epoch Times is an anti-Chinese-government newspaper. Wikipedia compares The Next Magazine, from whence Epoch got its information, to a sensationalist type paper. That said, Wikipedia is accessible by all to skew, including the Chinese government.

And there are good sensationalist news organizations, like Drudge (and even the Enquirer these days), and bad sensationalist rags that boast alien abductions on their front page. But I've read legitimate news stories of the Chinese doing strange things with embryos. So I think this stuff is happening. And that last photo in particular looks real"

What don't these people understand about being "preborn".
Pre + born= before birth...as in unborn... as in not alive!

Not only that, but an actual Bigfoot has been discovered. Some people were born to be gulled.

Old Viking - I live in rural new brunswick, and there just happened to be TWO bigfoot sightings here, shortly after that 'story' broke. Sometimes I've considered putting on a suit made of reflector tape, and crossing the highway at some point where the headlights can catch you from far away. I haven't figured out how I can profit from the stories about the 'alien sightings' yet, though.

I don't really have a problem with this. The world is overpopulated. Abortion might not be the ideal first line of defense against breeding humanity into oblivion, but it works. What happens to an aborted fetus doesn't matter. Seriously, it really doesn't. Landfill, medical incinerator, chicken lo mein. Does not matter.

Thy are fetuses not babies. Babies are already born. A woman has a right to choose to abort or not. It is none of your business.

I know of two people named Stanek in the public eye. Both of them are epic assclowns.

Obviously Jill has never tasted a real, old-fashioned, freshly-aborted baby (grilled and seasoned to perfection, of course).

It's been an urban legend ever since I came to hong Kong 14 years ago. As far as I know it's a hoax. The oft-printed image of a man eating a foetus is a fake, the man is an artist who loves to shock. snopes.com has some info about it, if I remember rightly.

I am SO glad to see someone besides me submitting the awful, ridiculous things this woman says. Do a search here. You will find some hateful, ignorant things. She has even claimed that abortion providers in the United States eat fetuses, though that one never made it in.

Anyway, that said, I think I need to correct Womabt:

Fetuses ARE alive, and have human DNA. However, these things alone do not make a human a person. The question is not "Are they alive?" or "Are they human?" The questions we need to ask are "Are they PEOPLE?" "What rights, if any, do they deserve?" and most importantly:

"At what point, if any, does it become acceptable to force a person to give their body to a person or potential person? Is it ever alright to take away one human being's basic rights and give them to another?"

Any part of the body or fluids = biohazard waste = VERY strict controls.

Lying for Jesus and quoting the Enquirer and "Just plain icky" trifecta.

Most Evangelical Christians earnestly strive to worship the God of Love and Truth. But a belief that the Bible is literally perfect puts them in the odd position of defending falsehood, bigotry and even violence.

Preborn baby is a contradiction in terms and is not scientific or intellectually honest.

I wonder if she realises that sensationalism can't be good and neither biased. As a note, I'm not a particular fan of the Chinese regime but, HAVING BEEN TO CHINA, I can tell you it's a fucking lie(and by the way, the European cosmetic firms USE placentae too. You know, you don't have to kill the baby, just to use it when the mother gives birth)

Eating babies? Sounds like old style anti-communist propaganda to try to make them look bad. Do they really need us making stuff up about them to look bad? When I see this on prime time news, I might look into believing it.

Isn't it funny though how the 'pro life' people are the same people that want to send your children off to die in wars and have you executed for trivial crimes against their 'morality'?

Looks like someone spent too much time watching "Dumplings", a horror film out of Hong Kong. Really, really creepy - just like a horror film is *supposed* to be.

"preborn babies"

Oh for fuck's sake. It's frightening that these wingnuts want to reduce all women to the state of second-class citizens by removing abortion and birth control, hovering through life in fear of yet a-fucking-nother unwanted pregnancy. Jill, I want to make you and your ilk fucking eat the fetuses you claim to love so much.
