[Hide your Irony Meters]
Has anyone here ever considered the reason why Atheists spend so much time refuting something they "don't even care about"? The fact is that they're afraid of God. Deep down they know there is one, but they don't want to believe because they feel better being their own Gods to do whatever they want. They use Believers as a scapegoat for conflicting emotions. Their goal is to convince themselves there is no God so that they can be free of the topic. This will never happen because something in the back of their mind always reminds them that they're wrong. So for all your believers, don't argue with Atheists. They will never believe, no matter what, thus creating their own hell.

Person X doesn't believe in Y. A lot of people ask Person X about Y, then get all offended when X says, "I don't believe in Y."
At least this person has the sense to recognize that trying to convert atheists is an exercise in futility.
I'm not afraid of god (though I am more agnostic than atheist).
I am afraid of the people who do things in god's NAME. Who annoy me trying to make me believe in their god. Who try to change the laws to enforce THEIR senses of morality.
No... god is fine. It's the people.
And I thought hell was pre made. You mean we have to make it ourselves?? That sucks.

This is why Yahoo Answers is and always will be ground zero for Chillingly Regular Irony Meter-Induced Nuclear Explosions (or CRIMINE, for short).

Gee, haven't heard that before.

Boy, that one's new too.

Where do you come up with these stunning revelations?

You're obviously on par with the greatest thinkers humanity has ever known to have come up with such insight.
Either that or you're just regurgitating some bullshit your pastor told you which is infinitely more likely given that none of the above is true .
The fact is that they're afraid of God. Deep down they know there is one... They will never believe, no matter what, thus creating their own hell.
I'll take "Internal Contradictions" for a hundred, Alex.
Do you care about the Koran? No? Then why refute it? I mean, there's just tons of terrorists who love using the thing to rationalize killing.
Do I care about the Bible? No. So why refute it? Because I honestly find you people scarier than dedicated terrorists. I mean, you're in MY country, being an actual threat and shitting up the place.
I don't care about God, though, he doesn't exist.
We're arguing with you, fighting your stupidity, and suchforth.
I do often talk about God doing this or God doing that, or God being a douche, but it's purely a hypothetical situation used to mock, clarify, or headshot your ridiculous ideas.
I'm Agnostic, not an Atheist. I wouldn't know why Atheists have to "argue" with batfuck crazy Fundies other than the part where said batfuck crazy Fundies won't leave Atheists alone about their non-belief.
Does that answer your question, Scotty?
Has any fundie here ever considered the reason why Atheists spend so much time refuting the annoying, judgmental, hypocritical, holier-than-thou religious nuts who keep trying to push their beliefs on other peoples' kids in public schools and amend our laws to agree with a bunch of rules invented by some bronze age Arab goat-herder?
No, I don't see Atheists going door to door trying to sell their beliefs or disbelief, or flooding radio and TV stations with their ideology. Fundies, however, seem to be blind to this small fact.
They will never believe, no matter what, thus creating their own hell.
What does your hell feel like, worrying about every little thing you do, thinking "Will this piss god off?"
Reason why i refute your theism is:
You are dangerous and too narrow minded the way you people are.
So of you go and wipe away those fairy tales from your brain. (if u got any of that gray mass left).
Has anyone here ever considered the reason why Atheists spend so much time refuting something they "don't even care about"?
That's untrue. I sure as hell care about the tyranny, deception and waste of life that is religion.
The fact is that they're afraid of God.
Seems that a new variation of the myth that Atheists are angry at God has been born.
they don't want to believe because they feel better being their own Gods to do whatever they want.
Incredible! I'm actually in agreement with a fundie!
They will never believe, no matter what, thus creating their own hell.
At least I wil always challenge every Theist I can find to prove to me that there is a God. I would want to be proven wrong in my disbelief, it's just that all you guys have failed.
The fact is that they're afraid of God. Deep down they know there is one
They will never believe, no matter what , thus creating their own hell
Are you so stupid that you can't even see the contradictions in your own damned argument?
I create my own hell? Cool.
That reminds me of that Dante's hell test I took. I fell into the first level of hell, where the philosophers reside. It apparently is just like earth, but has a sad feeling.
NO..deep down I couldnt give a god damn if your god existed or not. Im not one bit afraid of your god, and thats why Im not a "god fearing Christian". Nothing in the back of my mind is telling me your jesus exists..are you hearing voices?
P.S. If heaven is going to have people like you in its population, then I prefer Hell..but personally I will have non-existence regardless of your empty threats.
I'm not afraid of fictional characters. I'm afraid of the real life crazies who believe fiction is reality and reality is fiction. Mass delusions create massive acts of terror.
Please don't project your intellectual shortcommings.
You're right, I'll never believe. (Unless your silly god finally makes an appearance, which is less likely than finding a T Rex in my bathroom).
Hell is what this planet would be like if people like you still made the rules. Fortunately you don't, although we are still suffering the centuries of progress which were lost to the Dark ages.
Never mind your warping of logic, your name, coupled with your quote, is sufficient in breaking all rules of reality itself.
Scotty: 'Ye cannae change the laws of Irony! Cap'n, she cannae take nae more!'
Kirk: 'Prepare to jettison Irony Meter, on my mark... NOW! Get us out of here Mr. Sulu, FULL WARP!'
Sulu: 'Aye sir. Warp 9.9'

KER-BLAM!
(yes, I know it's not the Constitution-class Enterprise, but I couldn't find a .GIF of one warping. And the Sovereign-class looks cooler, so sue me! :P )

We refute your right to judge and rule others based on an ancient fairy tale. We have no problem with people who keep their beliefs to themselves, regardless of deity.
You can't decide to believe or not believe, any more than you can decide to be scared of monsters under the bed. You can learn so much about something that you start to believe, then again you can also learn so much about something that you stop believing.
How do you know what's in the back of my mind?
We don't believe in a hell, but if there is one, then I guess we'll both be there. Me for not sucking up to some god or other, you for wishing others to burn in hell.
Even you lot know you can't prove or disprove God for the same reasons you can't do it with Unicorns or Elves.
That's why I looked into the Bible, the Torah and their history. They're fables cobbled together from older fables. YOUR Abrahamic God, your book and church doctrines are fiction. This would be common knowledge if you didn't suppress the historical context of Christianity and oppose comparitive religion courses in schools.
It's usually the case that theists turn into atheists, often after reading some of the more batshit crazy parts of the bible. Very seldom does an atheist turn back to religion again, except under the influence of creeping senility.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
