Our Lord wasn't afraid to confront unbiblical ideas masquerading as truth. We follow His example here.
Say, if you could point out to me where exactly in the bible the rapture is mentioned...

Your "lord" was a bit of a liberal himself.
He taught love and tolerance of your neighbors. All I see on RR are a bunch of hatefull intolerant bastards.

It's only hard for folks who repeatedly defend liberal positions in a conservative forum, Rondaben. Swiftly correcting anti-Christian views & statements IS "open discussion" here.
Fundie word redefinition project marches on?

Isn't it cute how whenever a person comes on there with a shred of common sense they are raked over the coals? I also want to puke over the fact that when Rondaben goes to Freed's defense and says he was denigrated and ridiculed, a super moderator said that Freed wasn't being ridiculed - his position was. Bull-fucking-shit! He was called a "pacifist liberal" and then a member posted, "LIB ALERT! LIB ALERT!" simply because Freed stated he was voting on a third party candidate. Apparently not voting for McCain is a vote for satan, aka Obama. *rolls eyes*
I fucking hate those cocks over at RR and I sometimes wish a good majority of them would just die already and rid the world of their nasty arrogance and divisive bigotry. Of course, there will be more replacing them after they're gone, so it wouldn't make much of a difference. I'd love to meet one in real life, though. Just so I could punch their teeth out if they said something like this to my face.

You do realize that your bible was compiled & edited by Catholics about three centuries after your "lord" died, and that anyone living in those three centuries could have written strange nonsense and attributed it to your "lord"?

Interesting quote from the thread (again from BarbT):
Look, the GOP has chosen a good and decent man as it's candidate this election cycle. The opposition is offering a dangerous radical who is capable of destroying our beloved country. McCain vs Obama. One of these two men WILL be President -- no one else.
Paranoid much?

Ironically, Jesus was a liberal.
"labeling can be a valuable tool for identifying those who attempt to slip a little leaven into the lump"
Um... correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't labeling TECHNICALLY judging? As in, thou shalt not judge?

And one more quote from the discussion that sums it all up nicely:
You are so wrong. Liberals are confused theologically.
Liberalism definitely goes against Christian values.
Haven't you begun to notice that you are swimming against the tide on this forum? Don't you ever wonder why? It's because your posts are always liberal and negative.
Your posts would fit in better over at Huffington Post or Daily Kos.
You are divisive, Rondaben.
And don't try to redefine the word "liberal" or redefine Christian values.
It won't go over very well here.
And they see no parallel between themselves and the Nazi mentality.

IOW, "Rondaben challenges us to not resort to petty mudslinging, childish name calling and mean-spirited ganging up on people who may have a differing viewpoint and instead engage in civil, meaningful discourse. Such a request makes my brain implode, so let me attack Rondaben for being compassionate. She/he makes the rest of us look bad. DIRTY EVIL LIBTARD! *insert lengthy string of puking, head shaking, crying, run for the hills emoticons*"

Exactly. Jesus actually debated the Pharisees. He didn't shut them up and refuse to let them talk. On RR, if someone presented some liberal idea like giving food stamps and Medicaid to Lazarus, they'd scoff at him and cut off his access.
If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

"Swiftly correcting anti-Christian views & statements IS "open discussion" here."
You mean yelling out talking points and quashing dissent via banning, right? Because that is the more accurate assessment, if I am given an accurate picture of the climate over there.
Also: the fact that they justify dismissing who vary from their opinions as extremists by saying that "it is what Jesus would do" just tickles me a little.

you know guys, if they want to have an all-fundie board where the fundies just keep telling each other how right they are and convincing themselves that their bullshit is true, although imo its not healthy for them mentally, it is still their right.
