Bullshit.

All the "evidence", and I use the term loosely here, has been completely discredited as being outright false, a manipulation of the numbers, or a completely ridiculous claim.

I'd bet $1,000,000,000 you're parroting evolutionist documents and articles and have yet to read one by a creationist.

I've been to over 20 university debates and have yet to see one that the evolutionist wasn't completely embarassed. Most evolutionist heroes won't take public debates anymore after having their ass handed to them one too many times.

I completely agree! Oh wait, you are not talking about Intelligent Design, are you?

Most scientists choose not to argue against stupidity. They would rather just quietly work and let the evidence stand on its own merits.

And the evidence favours evolution.

Ego-preening doesn't count for shit in a scientific discussion. For the shallow minds, a shallow-but-emphatic character wins the day anyway.

So, why bother?

Somehow, I don't think their ass was handed to them. You just don't know how to recognice or value reason and logic. You wouldn't be the only one.

As soon as a creationist has an article published in a reputable, peer-reviewed journal I will read it. I expect you will have a long, long, long time to save up the billion dollars you will be paying me.

Your bet is like Hovinds offer, you have no intention of living up to it

"after having their ass handed to them one too many times."

Hasn't happened once. I'll admit they accomplish nothing by presenting evidence to Fundies, that's why some have given up as it's a waste of their time (and their times worth something unlike creationists)

I go by what I know - and you can't deny facts. I don't need to t bullshit (although I have). Three words: Kitzmiller vs. Dover.

That'll be a billion dollars, bitch.

Well, I agree I've never read any articles or documents by creationists. Because they were written by people who've fooled themselves into believing a bunch of fucking two thousand year old goat herders from the middle east.

I gave up reading fairy-tales about 15 years ago...

But you weren't in court during Kitzmiller vs. Dover in late 2005. Judge John E. Jones III, the resulting precedent set, and thus constitutional law disagrees, don't bother them about it.

Well, there does another irony meter.

And I hope you actuall have that $1,000,000,000. I am not a scientist so if someone were to claim that the theory of evolution was false, I would probably use what I've read to back up my claim that it does. I cannot know everything, so I do place a certain amount of trust in scientists and the scientific method because it's proven to be the best way we have of understanding the world. But I wouldn't call it "parroting" unless by "parroting" you mean bringing up relevant factual evidence. Also, I have read some articles by creationists. That's one of the reason I find creationism so freaking ridiculous and evolution to be such a strong and viable theory.

Creationist articles. Ah, those are always fun. They get facts that anyone with a high school education should know wrong. They make the strangest, most convoluted, and completely nonsensical arguments. It's a terrible character flaw, but I actually get a kick out of reading Creationist articles. They're just so freaking hilarious!

And I doubt you're telling the truth about those 20 university debates, Porsha. Though, admittedly, I'd be embarrassed if I were to engage in a debate with you. Embarrassed not by you, but for you. Because Creationist arguments are usually so inept, ignorant, and ridiculous.

Most leading evolutionary scientists don't debate Creationists because they have better things to do with their time. They don't debate Creationists because Creationists always trot out the same ignorant arguments and often get their facts completely wrong and pay no attention at all to what the person they are supposed to be debating actually says. Besides, it gives the impression that the theory of evolution and creationism are on equal footing when they very clearly are not.

Creationists (and a certain breed of politician) love the "debate" format -- it turns everything into a game of personality and rhetoric. People speaking in sound-bites makes it almost impossible to fact-check except later on; "live debate is the only way to settle this" is the calling card of the bullshit artist.

I don't think you have that much money. Besides, you boast with absurd claims and don't deserve any money anyways.

Scientists don't debate alchemists and astrologers either.

I'd bet $1,000,000,000...

'Betting' is a sin. Betting, with money you don't have, is discourteous and can get rather dangerous. Betting money that is many times more than the cost of the entire trailer park that you live in, is just downright ridiculous.

I also don't read the fucking national enquirer because I know it's bullshit.

Where is the evidence against the points of evolution?

Most of the "evolutionist heroes" are so fucking sick of forming logical arguments and then being met with insane babble. Basically, they got sick of beating their heads against a fucking brick wall.

Debates, shmebates!

Lets talk about results instead. A thorough understanding of evolution has led to immeasurable benefits in a variety of scientific fields. What are the benefits drawn from creationism?

If you say, "more people in heaven" I shall take it as a surrender on your part.

I've watched many of these debates on Youtube and exerpts from debates with "ass handed to them" type titles that never once, even out of context have ever seen a creationist making a valid argument or provable point.

I have seen the creationist crowd react with applause and cheers when their guy makes an stupid claim like "Evolution can't explain the Loch Ness Monster, it proves the theory is dead"
