I started to notice some trees, here and there starting to turn orange just near the edges or near the top. I first saw this the beginning of August! I never saw it this early before. Any one else seeing this?

Yes, yes I have. Of course, i've also been in tune with the seasons changing. HATING winter will do that to you. I noticed end of July, actually. And not just this year either.

Obviously a sign of the End Times. Guess god was too busy to turn the moon to blood.
Yeah, and this summer, I was watering the lawn when I noticed a rainbow in the spray from my hose!
Tap water doesn't make rainbows! Everyone knows that!
What is that supposed to mean in your Rapture fantasy?
Besides on the northern edge of North Dakota the leaves haven't even started changing, everything is still really green.
It's obvious what's happening.
God is rapturing all the trees, because they are the most righteous organisms on Earth.
Barring those filthy, pagan evergreens, of course.
Actually, I live in southern Michigan, and some of the trees around here have indeed started changing, and I did think it seemed a bit early for them to be doing so.
I blame it on weird weather more than anything supernatural, though.
Wait a few months and the days will grow shorter and shorter and the nights longer and longer. Rain will come down in a powdery solid form, sometimes for days. A freezing wind will howl through the long nights as you sit around the fire and read your bible.
You will have a hole in your pajamas. There will be no relief.
Here in Ontario, the leaves usually change at the beginning of August. It doesn't have anything to do with the rapture, believe me. I think God could come up with better ways to warn people of the rapture. He is God, after all. If it rained gumdrops for three days, THAT would be unusual.
OMG it's true, I tell you. Today a leaf fell off of my apricot tree. Either it's the end times or Satan is fucking with my mind through my tree.
That BASTARD! Knocking leaves down and everything.
Wait You Waiting For by Gwen Stefani came on whilst reading this entry. I find this funny in light of the poster's name.
That's really all I've got, besides the obvious "OMG Changing Seasonz!!!"
The leaves haven't changed here in Toledo yet.
If they have somewhere else, I blame that on the weird weather more than Jebus coming soon.
I'd love to drug this person, and wake them up in Australia, where new shoots and leaves are growing, and Spring blossoms appearing.
They would think they HAD been raptured.

Artefact: tree
Hypothesis: cold weather
Evidence: brown leaves on tree
Investigation: check temperature/sunlight records
Conclusion: probably caused by cold weather
Yes, I know it's tedious, but it's better than your hypothesis.
I'm sorry...a slightly early onset of autumn's got you all twitchy? Y'all gotta calm down. Seriously.
I'm thinking maybe that "play trumpets near their home" prank that was suggested here may not be a good idea. They might just drop dead of a heart attack on the spot.
ZOMG NATURAL PROCESSES ARE VERY SLIGHTLY ACCELERATED THIS YEAR! IT MUST BE A SIGN!
Yeah, I've seen trees with yellow or orange leaves in spring before. Doesn't mean shit.
I've seen many early falls in my life (I'm 52)
In fact, in my first 20 years, they were earlier and we had longer winters then
Yes. It's called 'fall'. No, not the--- no, stop dancing, it's got nothing to do with a Christian Fall-- will you listen, hey, no, no need to call your mother and wife...
...nvm, I give up.
Apart from the placement in that sub-forum, this post, and most of the ones that follow it in the thread, hardly qualify as fundie. They really are just writing about the trees. I say that this is a genuine example of a quote being taken out of context, and so deserves a rating of one.
That might be worth commenting on, if you live in the southern hemisphere. In the northern hemisphere, on the other hand, it's pretty unremarkable. Just like your IQ.
"I started to notice some trees, here and there starting to turn orange just near the edges or near the top"
A kind of reddish-brown orange...? Yes, that's what happens during Autumn .
It's only when said trees start quivering when there's no wind around, that you should start worrying, Failin'. Because those trees are epileptic.

Was it a drier summer than usual? That might make the sap go down into the roots earlier than usual.
The year I got married (1997, September 27th), it was still summer in late September.
Still, that was seven years ago. I hope you haven't held your breath since then, waiting for the trumpet sound...
'Last Days'? Autumn just happens to be Princess Celestia's favourite season.
And as she's an immortal Alicorn, there's your entire argument blown out of the space-time continuum.
...also, should the sun which the planet Equestria orbits starts to show the slightest signs of losing fusion energy, all she has to do is either move that one to a safe distance prior to it going Red Giant and replace it with another newer star, or use another star to refuel that one, seeing as - because she's that world's Sun Goddess - she can raise & lower an entire star every day without breaking sweat. This can't be real. PLEASE TELL ME THIS ISN'T REAL!?!
EDIT: I mean tell me people can't really be this stupid. Not some sarcastic dig at the seasons changing being a sign of the end times. Thought I should clear that up.
Confused?
