[When asked what he would do if elected president of the United States]
Ban gay marriage. Just for kicks. (of course, with a logical argument to back it up). But spiritually speaking, I don't really know. I'd probably ban abortion, or attempt to get it severely limited.

Well, at least they're starting to be honest as to why Gay Marriage is such an anathema to them. Not because of the Bible, or morality, but because of their personal ick factor.
You can't. The President doesn't make laws, he can only veto them.
Besides, America has a whole system set up to prevent someone like you from ever becoming president.

The American presidency is actually on the way to becoming a dictatorship as Bush Baby has destroyed much of the system of checks and balances that have always been respected pre Jan 2001 by all involved in the American political system.
Moreover, going out on a limb, October might be a good time for another 9/11 event so that he can suspend the constitution, Bill of rights etc and declare himself as taking on a third term for the sake of protecting the country. I think the right wing would really welcome that. But how could such a convenient 'event' happen? Go figure! Bush delendus est.
The Latin is just to remind you that the Roman Republic fell to the (initially) disguised dictatorship of the Emperors. It could happen anywhere - even in America.
I'd probably ban abortion, or attempt to get it severely limited.
It already is severely limited. You can only get one if you are female and pregnant.
I refer you to "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" for the correct procedure of introducing anything into lawful practice in the United States.
Also, for the funnies. And Jimmy Stewart.

You're not quite clear on how this president thing works.
"of course, with a logical argument to back it up"
You fundies haven't produced one in 20 years of trying, so what are the chances you'll be able to think of one?
/Ban gay marriage. Just for kicks./
What's truly disgusting about this is that this loser doesn't even try to offer a theological or ideological excuse. Making people miserable just for the fun of it is downright shameful.
/(of course, with a logical argument to back it up)./
There is nothing logical about denying people their basic human rights.
/But spiritually speaking, I don't really know. I'd probably ban abortion, or attempt to get it severely limited./
It's already severely limited, you twit. And obviously, you have no idea how the presidency works. What a shame.
2 problems. There ISN'T a logical argument against gay marriage. And the President, contrary to what you might think, is not allowed to just pass sweeping resolutions of a bigoted nature (or any nature, for that matter) just for the fuck of it.
Confused?
