You are right SS.
I dont worry too much about the earth because when Jesus comes again this earth will be destroyed. I worry more about the lost than get into a hysteria about the environment. Its crazy. Will leave that to you guys. Christians are called to seek and save the lost (people/ humans) not the environment.

Well... for a start, since your bible states that no one, not even the son, knows when the second coming will occur, wouldn't it make sense to TRY to keep the planet inhabitable. Just in case... you know... your expectations do not line up with your god's.
It is really a variant on Pascal's Wager, isn't it?
"Christians are called to seek and save the lost (people/ humans) not the environment."
Bullshit. Your god put you in charge in Genesis 1:26, tells you to "dress and keep" the Garden of Eden (granted you could argue this one) in Genesis 2:15 and you're reminded yet again that it's all your fucking responsibility in Psalms 8:6-8.
I suggest you all get off your lazy asses and get to work cleaning this place up.
If you really belive in God you must belive that He did give us Earth. However, screwing it up like we are doing would be like me taking my father's expensive radios, throwing them across the wall and stomping on them until they are in pieces. That is how you people are treating our planet.
Do you really think God honors that?
just get in a line, all of you fundies, and pray a whole lot, while i kill you all one by one, that would speed things up.
see it this way, u die while u are praying, so u go to heaven and see JC himself and live happily ever after (considering u are right)
id be sacrificing my soul to save all yours, aint I such a good guy?
meanwhile u can leave the world to us.
Um, and what the hell do they think that people, lost and, I guess, found, will be eating, drinking, and breathing?
"Only when the last tree has died, and the last river been poisoned, and the last fish been caught, will we realize we cannot eat money."--Cree Indian proverb
Genesis 1:26: “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
Edit: Dang, horsefeathers beat me to it!
I wonder, why did God create environment, in the first place, if he was going to destroy it?. Moreover, can you trust you after 2000 years of failure(and the environment was not half bad as today)?
On the teensy weensy possibility that Jesus ain't ever coming and that we are stuck on this little planet for a very long time to come, I reckon it's prudent to try and look after it. I know there's only a tiny chance that the rapture is a myth, but it pays to be prepared for every eventuality.
(Sarcasm).
Confused?
