to them killing is OK

If you had done any research on my religion (Satanism) you would know we have a strict moral code. Of course, we don't have a skydaddy watching to make sure we don't slip up, but then again, less than a tenth of a percent of prisoners in the US are Satanists, versus 80% who are Christians.
Take that douche cunt.
According to a 1997 study by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, atheists make up 8% of the population but only 0.2% of the prison population. So if religious people have a stronger "moral code", how come they commit a disproportionate amount of crime?
Well, let's see...
(F = Fundie, A = Atheist)
F | A | Killing...
Y | Y | ...to eat
Y | Y | ...in self-defense
Y | Y | ...to live (sometimes, as a last resort)
Y | N | ...people who's sexual preference you don't like
Y | N | ...people who worship a different god
Y | N | ...people who worship the same god differently
Y | N | ...people by using prayer instead of medicines
Y | N | ...people for imaginary crimes like 'witchcraft'
Y | N | ...people doing something legal you don't agree with (abortion)
Y | N | ...people by exorcising the 'demons' in them
(Sample size: several hundred (from FSTDT), of which 1 (me) was an atheist)
Final scores:
Atheists: 3/10
Fundies: 10/10
By crikey, he's right! We do have much less of a 'moral code' than they! 70% less!
The nom de plume (nom the clavier?) is surely an indicator of a certain hubris!
Obviously Christ is too thick to work out that if one does not believe in a deity, one does not believe either in the retinue, heavenly and hellish that are associated with the deity.
Strange thought that there should be fewer atheists in jails, generally, than christians. The presence or absence of a threatening god has no bearing whatsoever on personal values.
I'm going to fix this, but only for me. I do not profess to speak for anyone but myself.
I learned that christians (yes, christianity=ignorance) do not have any semblence of a moral code.
to kill them is OK
ATHEISM does not enforce a moral code because atheism only says there is no God. Thus, morals are up to the individual atheist.
It really gives you a lot of flexibility without having to branch off new religions every time a new political issue comes up.
Wrong. Atheists /= satanism.
Wrong. Athiesm /= immorality.
Wrong. Atheism /= murder.
Triple play! Well done!
... WRONG
Atheism has nothing to do with inmorality..
however, i find that there are more christians saying it is ok to turn iraq into a somking crater
so much for christian morals
Satanism does indeed enforce a moral code.
Atheism isn't a religion, so people can choose their own morals.
You haven't learned anything, then. Atheism is not a religion and is not even close to Satanism.
Keep this up and you can be classified as a moron.
Killing is most certainly not okay. One doesn't have to be religious to have morals.
Besides--something I thought about--according to your fairystories, Adam and Eve both ate the apple and were given knowledge between good and evil. It would make sense that all of their children would know, too, even if they didn't believe in God.
'to them killing is OK'
Actually describes a good number of fundy Christians, for example:
James Charles Kopp
Clayton Lee Waagner
Paul Hill
Michael Griffin
Eric Rudolph
John Salvi
@Old Viking: "I kill only when provoked."
You're a VIKING, you badass, it's in the charter to kill when idiots piss you off! :3
Atheist is one who rejects ALL worship/religion/spirituality.
Satanism is WORSHIPING the devil, thus, atheists aren't Satanists.
"To them killing is okay"
Based on that logic they should be against the Death Penalty. Are they? I doubt it.
"Question: What is the most interesting thing you've learned about another religion?"
That not all Christians are like the nice, calm, revenrent people I grew up with. Some of them are compleatly batshit.
"(yes, atheism=satanism) "
Execpt, atheists don't believe in satan.
"to them killing is OK "
No, it's not. Killing is wrong no matter what you believe.
Apparently, to Christ, lying is OK too.
Explains so much, really.
Why do you people keep speaking for us? What makes you think that's okay? I don't know any atheists who think killing is okay because they're atheists . Actually, I don't know any atheists who think killing is okay at all , except in cases of self-defence.
I mean, I'm sure there are some atheist murderers running around out there. Statistically, there has to be, but somehow I think it has more to do with them being sociopaths than with them not believing in God.
I enjoy living and do not wish to die. Thus I would consider it a violation of my personal freedom to be killed. Since I am not special when compared to the rest of the human race, I cannot justify violating anyone else's personal freedom. Thus I can only justify killing if it is absolutely necessary to keep myself from being killed, or if someone wishes to be killed for whatever reason. (And just because I can justify both doesn't mean that I'll actually do either.)
There. A rational basis for not killing people, without any Jesus.
(yes, atheism=satanism)
Instant fail.
If one does not believe in God, one does not believe in 'Satan', either, does one, hmm?
Atheists have no problem following civil law.
Moral codes are subjective, and the more you enforce a moral code, the less moral it becomes.
So fuck off.

Answer:
I learned that atheists (yes, atheism=satanism) do not enforce a moral code.
to them killing is OK
christ
Okay guy. Now I understand that in that tiny little brain of yours, you have convinced yourself that lying is okay for a just cause (end justifying the means, yada yada), but don't you think you should have at least chosen another nick besides "christ"? I mean, if I were a Christian, I would have felt rather offended for this.
"I learned that atheists (yes, atheism=satanism) do not enforce a moral code.
to them killing is OK"
I'm an Atheist. I don't condone killing. Mainly because I wouldn't want anyone killing me. Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Not harming others or their property. All the morals you need. No religion required . And even if I worshipped Satan (but I don't; he's as fictional as God), at least he'd be worthy of belief:

Frankly, he's St. Francis of Assisi in comparison to your God. I've never killed anyone in my life. Nor do I want to. Ever. For the above reasons. Thus, certainly in moral terms, I'm superior to God. Therefore (check one):
[ ] You must worship me, because of my inherent superiority to your 'God'
[ ] You worship an amoral, inferior, mass-murderer of a deity, who thinks killing is OK, with no moral code whatsoever. Ergo, you are an inferior, mass-murdering deity-worshipper with no moral code whatsoever. QED.
Choose wisely.
I learned that the 6th Commandment is part of a so-called 'moral code' that is 'enforced' by a 'moral' God.
Hosea 13:16.
To God, killing is OK.
...yet, I've yet to so much as kill one person to date, and I have no inclination to do so, ever. And I'm an Atheist . And as Atheism = Satanism, therefore...:

...thanks for admitting that I'm superior to God then. And the perfect advertisement for Satanism, fundies.
Wait, what? Okay, my roommate is an atheist. Why aren't I dead yet? Why aren't a lot of people, since atheists outnumber people who believe angels are real? Why are there still laws against murder and rape and hurting others if they "do not enforce a moral code?"
Because everything you said is wrong. Because they don't need Jesus to tell them it's wrong to hurt another person. If you need religion to tell you not to kill or rape someone, that's more of a fault with you than with everyone else, don't you think?
Confused?
