In my book Willful Blindness for Dummies you can call anything the truth if you don't use your own innate reasoning skills.
I also recommend dogma to guide you, to avoid making any decisions on your own.

No, the universe was created last Thursday. We just think it's older than that.

"And in my book, if the universe looks 12 billion years old, but God implied it was created 6000 years ago [in the Bible], then it was created 6000 years ago"
But if that is possible, and leaving aside the whole fictional nature of God thing, why is it not also possible for God to create the universe 12 (13.7) billion years ago and imply it was only 6000.
If he could imply one age in the bible (bibliological timeline), and another with physical evidence (apparent maturity), then one or the other (or even both could be incorrect.
This is still insistence that the fables take precedence over the facts, and still devoid of logic, even after playing the "apparent age" card.
