I am an Atheist when it comes to the religion of Global Warming.

Right. There's a High Priest of Climate Change, and we all bow to him. Every Sunday. Sure.
And Mr. Bungle is normal music.
I think he's also an atheist of the religion of understanding the world around him.
(Me, I'm and atheist of the religion of diet, excercise and moderation)

IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY
Did you think that up all by yourself? Well done!
Okay, medium rare, at least.
Global warming is a fact, not a religion. It is a process that's been ongoing for 35,000 years - sorry 29,000 years before creation.
Problem is that it is accellerating and mankind is making a small, but significant, contribution to this.
It can be marginally slowed by us, and that is all.
Posting this comment here is absurd.
Its a metaphor whose implications are clear in the context in which he uttered it. Those implications are stripped from it when quoted here out of context.
His comment that he is an Atheist in this context is witty as a professed believer speaking amongst believers.
Us asserting "GW has no priests, or people bowing to it", or saying "'tis not" when he asserts it's a religion is just us stupidly missing his point. The supporting evidence for his claim is posted as the original subject of their discussion, plus as a group they have discussed other evidence for that viewpoint which he has no obligation to adduce again.
There's more than enough stupid to point and laugh at without us taking metaphors out of context and treating them as literal statements.
Global warming isn't a religion, and more importantly, it has no God.
As for being an atheist, that requires that one believes in no gods whatsoever, so this almost fails to qualify as fundie. I say "almost" because the guy's misuse of the words "atheist" and "religion" strongly imply that he is.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
