(And if that did happen, and the American electorate were naive and gullible enough to believe in that coincidence, then they truly deserve what they get.)

The problem is the rest of the world - who the US elects effects us all, but we don't get a vote.

-I still cannot understand why anyone would want to be friends with black people. Especially after the whole O.J. Simpson incident.

-I can't imagine anyone wanting to work with Japanese people. Especially after Pearl Harbor.

It would be like the execution of Saddam Hussein; the politicising of a matter of international affairs. The timing would be too nice to not warrant some conspiracy theory of collusion and hiding Bin Laden until the right moment.

Obama is NOT a Muslim but I could care less if he was so long as he didn't try and legislate his religious superstitions into law. That is all I care about. Besides, could a Muslim be worse then the fundamental christian lunatic we have in there now?

So long as it remains a private issue I don't care what the religious beliefs of the President are. I would prefer an atheist but while we might have a black President or a woman President I think we would have a gay President before we would have an openly atheistic President.
