Actually, in the event of a tie in the EC (this has happened before, BTW) the vote goes to the House of Representatives.
Ergo, while Ms. Pelosi would certainly have a say in the outcome in such a case, she'd hardly be able to vote herself into the Executive Mansion.

What the hell has the Rapture got to do with the politics of the US? About as much as the fact that my cat is sitting in a tree right now to catch birds, and she won't come down when called.
I marvel as the capacity of the RR crowd to self-delude.
The only way Majority Leader/Speaker Pelosi could become president, is if something happened to the Pres. and Vice Pres. that would keep them from their duties. (in Bush's case, that would mean him not being on vacation)
She is third in line.
Of course she could always run for the office.
I just had such a laugh; imagine the mass explosion of fundie-heads if Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, or Al Gore ever became President...

Now that would be fascinating... due to its impossibility. The House of Representatives would not side step Obama and McCain to elect Pelosi.
The President AND Vice President would have to be impeached, killed, or otherwise unable to fulfill duties in order for Pelosi to take charge.
THAT'S why Obama/Biden need to win. With the Dems taking back the White House, they'll instantly fuck over the fundies who are making up religious "reasons" as to why Obama is the Antichrist.
Let's not forget that Obama being black, Biden being Catholic and Pelosi being Pelosi, it's safe to say that nothing is happening to Obama as President.
