If you condemn people as human beings for their stance on one political issue I question your morality...

partial birth abortion is particularly ugly: people who support abortion must face that. However, it isn't exactly usual (at least not in the UK); no doctor nor nurse would be involved with it unless truly necessary. Maybe in the US things are different; if so that's a sign of your culture's general attitude to free competition

Partial birth abortion? Hmm, not familier with the term . . . probably because it's not a real medical term.
Oh wait, you're talking about the D&E abortion, which represented less than 1% of all abortion procedures and *was* done only in extreme cases. I say *was* because it is no longer legal in the US, now instead of a doctor deciding what is best for his patient, pro-liars have made the safer late term abortion option illegal. Good job.

partial birth abortion is the most heinous form of murder

I'm pro-choice, but I do think that partial birth abortion is a bad thing and to be done only in the most extreme cases.
However, it is not done all that often AFAIK, most abortions are performed in the first trimester. Partial Birth abortions are unusual.
And I can think of much more heinous forms of killing.

It's amazing how they don't see that their religion is just being used in these cases as a tool of politics. If some politician thought ice cream sandwiches were a good topic to weasel their way into power with you'd have these peons condemning 'teh eebil librulls' for eating ice cream sandwiches.

"Partial birth" abortion is squicky and disgusting, and very rarely necessary. I don't particularly support it, but I also don't like the idea of banning it.

You are an ignorant little snowflake, aren't you? You really believe that the world is full of women so heartless and amoral as to wake up one fine morning during month 8 of a pregnancy and say "I look fat! Golly, I don't want a kid after all!" And you also believe in doctors evil enough to say, "Bring it on! I needs me some money, so putcher feet in the stirrups."
Moron. IDX does not work that way.

That is eggsackly mai opinion on the subject.
I think anyone with half a brain or an ounce of compassion realises it's a horible procedure. I really wish the Fundies would stop trying to fucking demonise EVERY-FUCKING-BODY.
Also, ifyou think "partial-birth" abortion is without consequence and is "just an abortion", you're either deranged, very naive or a sick cunt. Of course, I think we all agree on that. This is because, at nine months, though theyare technically classified as foetuses based on the fact that they are inside the womb, they are living, breathing, children.

I am of the opinion that "partial birth" abortions should be (and are) extreme-case only. If a foetus can survive outside of the womb independantly, unless it is sick/has something wrong that could affect it later in life horribly/the mother is in danger, I think it's therefore a "baby" and shouldn't be aborted (again, unless in necessary cases). But, cases are different and "morality" isn't set in stone.

Considering that former Republican candidate of 2012 considered his amount of executions as Governor of Texas to be something worth bragging about, then no, this would seem to lead to the Republican Party being a vote for death, especially since they tend to support the death penalty more often than Democrats.
