(Thread title: intellectual People can't except simple truth)

I was just listening to an interview given by Matt Damon where he is denigrating Sarah Palin For being pro life and for the fact that she wants the teaching of Creationism in public schools.
Another thing he said with a condescending tone was.
(And this women thinks that dinosaurs were on the earth 4000 years ago.
and she is going to have the Nuclear codes??).
this was being said with the condescending tone that she must be crazy to believe these thing's.

//Obviously someone who acts on emotions and without evidence, and denies other ideas, is not the type of person who should be making important decisions, their judgment could be coloured very easily if they were.

Have you people any idea how Europeans look on is stunned amazement at your mad dash to medievalism? It seems incredible to us that so many in the US are stampeding away from reason, logic, freedom of thought, rationality and plain commonsense, replacing these foundation blocks of all that is western culture with irrationality and a suppression of freedom that reminds us of North Korea or Iran.

This pistol-packin'-mama Palin is ludicrous. She's like a cross between Wonderwoman, Rambo and a female Jesus. And Fundies are all but ready to worship her because she's pulling all their strings and pushing the right buttons with them.

Religion will be the ruin of America. Your country is taking its eye off the political ball to play at gods and devils. Well the devils will win out in the end if those factors I mention at the start of this rant are nor rapidly reinstated. You can be sure that Putin is not keeping his nose in a prayerbook, or in a hymnal. He's re-building Russia faster than America will be able to recover from her present crisis. So you can kiss American supremacy goodbye as it vanishes up Putin's ass.

Sorry, but that's how it is and will be, when America become the world's biggest pussycat.

@Xotan: You nailed it, sir. The Founding Fathers would be ashamed at the disgrace that is happening here. And "Mindlessness for the Mindless?" Maybe that should be the GOP's new slogan.
But please don't insult Wonder Woman by bringing her name up with Palin's! Wonder Woman would kick Palin's rear from Washington D.C. to Alaska and back.

@redfergus: Thank you for your faith in us. I know that we may not always live up to our standards and values, but as L said, there are some of us who try to make this country better and try to uphold the values that it was founded on. I'm relieved to hear a European speak favorably of us because I usually hear foreigners complain about how stupid, arrogant, and naive we are, which, while not entirely unwarranted, does manage to sting a little sometimes. Believe me, we sane Americans are about as fed up with these fundie morons as the rest of the world is. And we don't want Palin in office, either! At least, I don't.

1- Note to self: watch more Matt Damon films. I've certainly given up on Tom Cruise* Control, so there's someone more deserving of my time & money (his acting in the Bourne trilogy proves this - outstanding stuff!).

2- Sarah Failin didn't need Matt to denigrate her. She did a perfectly good job of destroying her own campaign prospects via three factors: 1: Everything she said. 2: Everything she did. 3: Everything she THOUGHT.

3- Creationism (certainly via '[Un]Intelligent Design') will never be taught in US schools. Three Words: Kitzmiller versus Dover.

4- ?????

5- PROFIT!

*- Tom, why can't you be like George Clooney - an Atheist? And you wonder why your recent films went down the toilet? Drop the $cientology bollocks, and start being RATIONAL. Mr. Clooney is, and his star is on the ascendant. And not for nothing was he voted Sexiest Man Alive. Twice.
