"Something I don't think you understand is that the bible WAS written by God and the new testament was written by Jesus Christ, who by the way, IS God. No one is condemning or "judging" Ellen, they are simply saying they do not agree that her lifestyle is the "typical" American lifestyle (although some would have us to believe that as well). And, the bible does condemn that particular lifestyle -- ever heard the story about Sodom and Gommorah????

God is waiting to forgive people of their sins, all they have to do is ask for forgiveness and repent (turn away from the sin). He also loves everyone, deeply. He created all of us so why would He not love us??

No, the bible was not written in English, it was written in Hebrew and Latin, which has been translated to English. Since almost all of it has been discovered and verified as original documents, and so many different people have verified the contents, it is safe to say it is, indeed, accurate.

The churches that put a "spin" on the Word, should be ignored, for the most part. I will only listen to someone who teaches the Word of God directly from the bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.

Being a Christian is believing that Jesus Christ came to earth and died for our sins on a cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. It does include love for everyone (love the sinner, hate the sin), but does NOT accept or embrace "any and all opinions." If that were the case, Christians would not be set apart as God's children, i.e., the church.

I do not think I am better than anyone, nor do I judge anyone, but I WILL stand up for what I believe in and will NOT let anyone degrade it. However, you are wrong on this issue. You should pick up a bible and read it, starting in the new testament book of John and go forward from there.

By the way, the Lord is waiting to hear from you. :-x"
